This community was really great and it was a nice tour. The value for the cost and the location were the main two important factors for us.

My friend seems to be happy with his choice with Morningside of Vestavia Hills.

Excellent staff! Phenomenal food and care given. They really go out of their way to accommodate the needs of the residents. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a trustworthy, reliable place for their loved ones!

The "Memory Care Unit" is basically a warehouse for Dementia patients. The assistants do as little as possible and are more concerned with looking at their phones and quickly doing minimal tasks. The "Memory Care Unit" is basically a warehouse for Dementia patients. The assistants do as little as possible and are more concerned with looking at their phones and quickly doing minimal tasks. The turn over rate is very high and I rarely see the same assistants twice. The "nurses" don't want to be bothered with anything other than giving out meds. When my relative was there they seemed to retaliate by being hostile to the resident as well as the family. It is heart breaking that these residents are treated as inconveniences to this very unskilled staff. Morningside has excessive management staff that you rarely see. They work harder at not helping the residents and families than simply helping. I plan to report this negligence to authorities now that my relative is gone from there. Residents that don't have family that can visit often are horribly neglected. HEARTBREAKING!!!
