I just moved here to Skyline Village at Red Mountain yesterday. I love its location. It is not that far from downtown Birmingham and I'm close to the hospital and my family. The layout is great and everyone's friendly and helpful. There are lots of activities for the residents. They've got bingo and everything that you can imagine. The first meal I had was very good, too. The facility is very clean and very well-kept. Also, the price is very affordable.

For over 2 years this facility has had major bedbug issues. There is also a roach infestation as well. They can't keep good help and the food is terrible. These seniors pay a fee to have cleaning service done once a week, well the past 3 months our mother has not had her room cleaned, sheets changed...

These seniors pay a fee to have cleaning service done once a week, well the past 3 months our mother has not had her room cleaned, sheets changed, bath cleaned. That is gross mismanagement. A lot of the people living here are handicap, serious health issues. We are in process of getting legal advice and have contacted Jefferson Co. Health Dept.

Skyline Village has really just met our loved ones needs perfectly, he loves being able to come and go as he pleased. He really loves the meals and cafeteria hall. The staff are very friendly and based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to others

When you go in there, the people are so nice, both the ones that live there and the ones that run it. Miss Beverly took me around and showed me apartments and studios. ...

The first time I ever drove over to Skyline Village at Red Mountain to look at it, I thought I'd always wanted to live in a castle. When you go in there, the people are so nice, both the ones that live there and the ones that run it. Miss Beverly took me around and showed me apartments and studios. They have three meals a day. They have patios and you can go out there. They have comfortable chairs to sit on while looking over at the lights of Birmingham. It's very clean and nothing really fancy. This is really a nice and clean place, and they make you feel at home. When you have a doctor's appointment they take you to the doctor. If you want to go to the grocery store to get some snacks or something, they do that. It's independent living, so if you have your car, you can go wherever you want to. When you leave, you have to tell them so they'll know you're not in there. The staff who gave me the tour was wonderful. She showed me the library and even showed me the place where, because they were having a tornado a couple of weeks ago, they all gathered to watch the news and the weather. It's comfortable and they have some books up there too. I only met a couple of the staff because when she sent me down to the lunchroom, they were in the middle of lunch and I sure didn't want to interrupt it. Everybody that I passed was all nice and spoke to me. I went into some apartments and they were clean, they were empty, and being repaired.

I visited Skyline Village at Red Mountain. I liked that it's a newer facility and the fact that the rooms are larger. It has a beautiful view. The staffs seem to be very friendly and caring. I think this place would have been more suitable for my relative's needs, but still looking at other faciliti...

I visited Skyline Village at Red Mountain. I liked that it's a newer facility and the fact that the rooms are larger. It has a beautiful view. The staffs seem to be very friendly and caring. The staff that gave me the tour was very friendly, very informative, very helpful. and a very pleasant person. At the time we arrived, breakfast was already over and it was too early for lunch, but the staff asked or recommended that we come for a meal. They have a beautiful courtyard area where you can see the view of Vista View of Birmingham.

I’m celebrating my anniversary living at Skyline Village. My studio apartment is just ideal for me and I’ve been very happy here. The view is amazing. Our vast lobby and seating area welcomes you to relax and visit with your neighbors…and roomy enough to host live entertainment for our enjoyment. We have a nice dining room serving three meals a day. Fun activity room with a well loved library, games and puzzles, big screen TV, even karaoke. Activities from Bingo, holiday parties, Drama Club, movies, etc. Great Beauty Salon! Amenities galore, but the best one is our hard working and caring staff. We aren’t just an affordable, independent-living, retirement community. We are a family of neighbors and friends. Come and see for yourself!
