[Name removed] provided a heartwarming, clean and gracious home for my mother, in the last years of her life, at Fair Oaks Care Home at Monte Park. My mother [name removed] enjoyed being at [name removed]'s, saying she was ‘in heaven’ at [name removed]’s. Mom passed on at age 90. [Name removed] had worked for years as a nursing assistant at St Luke’s Hospital, before deciding to offer more personal care for seniors, in her own home. [Name removed] nurtures her clients with love and gentle humor. My mother had been a nurse, and she loved that [name removed] took her vitals daily, and took her to the doctor, managing multiple medications and conditions with her usual grace and intelligence. Mom’s every need, was met with warmth, humor and home-cooked meals, made from scratch to Mom’s taste. Lucky is the person who stays at [name removed]'s, and enjoys her Croatian island hospitality, set in blooming gardens. I heartedly and unreservedly recommend [name removed]'s care home. Želka’s phone number is: (916) 267-3867. My mother Jessie Chasko lived there for a couple of years after her strokes, and Mom said that she was ‘in heaven’ at Želka’s. Mom passed on at age 90. Želka had worked for years as a nursing assistant at St Luke’s Hospital, before deciding that she could give more personal care for seniors, in her own home.. Zelka warmly includes and restores her clients with love and gentle humor. My mother had been a nurse, and she loved that Želka took her blood pressure and oxygen level daily, and visited the doctor with her, managing Mom’s multiple medications and conditions with her usual grace and intelligence. Mom especially enjoyed the homecooked delicious meals, to her taste. Our family could feel relaxed that Mom’s every need was met with warmth, humor and home-cooked meals, made from scratch to Mom’s taste. Military veterans or spouses might apply and receive AFDC (Aid for Dependent Care) to cover part of their care, as Mom did. AFDC begins from date of application. Lucky is the person, who stays at Zelka’s, and enjoys her welcoming Croatian hospitality. Don’t miss the back yard garden, if you visit, beyond the lovely white tiled dining area. Zelka provides a level of personalized care that I have not seen in other facilities of her size. Meals are prepared from scratch just prior to each meal, from fresh ingredients. Her personal involvement in clients lives and care is unsurpassed, as she lives with the clients in her home, talks with them throughout the day, is concerned about their needs, and tries to help them with their fulfillment. Zelka takes her clients to medical appts, herself, is involved by talking to Doctors about conditions and the best way to assist in the clients care. Were my mother still alive needing care, I would hope that she could find Zelka to care for her

This place is not what they advertise. We were told that our father would be provided with activities, crafts and healthy meals. We have seen none of that. We were also told transportation would be provided for doctors appointments, she calls us to handle those too because she can''t leave the other...

This place is not what they advertise. We were told that our father would be provided with activities, crafts and healthy meals. We have seen none of that. We were also told transportation would be provided for doctors appointments, she calls us to handle those too because she can''t leave the other residents there by themselves. She has tried to raise the rent several times without notice. Just stay far away. We are currently looking for other accommodations. You''re welcome.
