I went to Eskaton Village Grass Valley. We had an appointment with someone and met with her and then she showed us around a little bit. The experience was good. The rooms were spacious. We just met one person, and she was very nice and professional. There was a nice, secluded area outside that had two seats, and it was very nice and peaceful there. They have transportation for the people living there, and they take the people that are living there to various events. It's a top-rated place.

I chose Eskaton Village Grass Valley for my wife. I'd heard about it. I went to tour it, and it was good. The staff are quite good, caring, and they take good care of the people. The food is a standard American diet, and she's a vegetarian, so that does not work easily with them. They do have a salon. There is a physical fitness area, but there's nobody to take her over there.

We moved into Eskaton in Feb 2020 and are moving it out this week. My Step Mom lived there through the pandemic and we were unable to visit - which is understandable. In early May 2022 she fell and was taken to the hospital. Subsequently, we were advised that she could not get the care she would ...

We moved into Eskaton in Feb 2020 and are moving it out this week. My Step Mom lived there through the pandemic and we were unable to visit - which is understandable. In early May 2022 she fell and was taken to the hospital. Subsequently, we were advised that she could not get the care she would need at Eskaton and she would have to move. While moving her out it was discovered that all of her Jewlery from 38 years of marriage my father had been stolen. The only thing that she retained was the wedding ring and one other ring that she was wearing in the hospital. Also, all the handbags that she had were missing, but whoever took them, left the bags they came in. As soon as it was discovered, I called Cameron, who is the director. Basically his response was "Sorry". No help, no communication and he couldn''t care less. After researching this, it looks like this is a consistent problem at Eskaton. It is very sad to think that you trust your loved ones to be cared for and they are basically robbed. I did not live in the area until recently, so it was especially disturbing to think I paid top dollar for her care and she was just completely robbed of all that meant something to her. I will say that the positive of this place is Mary at the front desk- this woman is a saint and I will always be grateful for her communication and care. She was really the only one that ever helped me in a world I had no idea about. Finally, I say, Shame on you Eskaton for allowing this type of elder abuse. Look around-lots of other choices in Grass Valley!!!

My mother has been living at Eskaton Village Grass Valley for four years. It is clean and very attractive. My mother is living in a very, very nice place. There's a nice dining room. When you come in, there's coffee and water available. I have no complaints whatsoever about the physical appearance of the place. There's a very cheery atmosphere. When you go there, everybody's friendly and warm. You say hello to people in the hall, and they say hello back to you when you're visiting. It's a very warm atmosphere. The staff members are very responsive. When we call to find out anything, they remember my mom's name. They always get us the right person. I ate there once. My mother is a gourmet cook; so in her opinion, the food is not gourmet. It's fine; but if it was a restaurant, I wouldn't go there. I seem to remember my mom telling us is that they have various activities and an exercise class that she goes to. There is like a place where you can go read and talk with your friends. She herself runs a book group. They let her have the book group. People come to her room, and they read the books. She is fine with all the activities. Her room is small, but adequate. She has a view, which is nice. It's an expensive place, but my mom's lucky that she's able to afford it. She's getting her money's worth. I don't feel like she's in a corporate place where she's just being handled. The people there are caring, and they know my mother by name. I feel like she's in a family.

Eskaton Village Grass Valley was excellent. The dining room looked good. The staff was professional, answered all my questions, and concerns.
