I spent eight (8) months looking for the right Assisted Living facility in the San Fernando Valley, and by every measure, AvantGarde stood out from the rest - it wasn''t even close. The Administrator, Carol is so incredibly responsive to the needs of the residents and their families, and the facility is spotless, modern, and beautifully maintained. The front desk, nurses, medical staff, and caregivers are incredibly patient and attentive to every need... Maria, Evelyn, Kelsey, and Alberta are just a few that made a real difference while my Aunt lived at AvantGarde. There are so many amazing activities they arrange for the residents from live music in the lobby, games, exercise, group walks, to day trips down to San Pedro, shopping, museums, local parks, etc., and Marianne''s energy in promoting and engaging residents in the activities is positively infectious! The dining room is cozy and inviting, the food is terrific with incredible variety too! I can''t forget about the residents... such a nice mix of friendly people, it was always such a pleasant experience visiting my Aunt because of the super nice atmosphere in the facility. I can''t say enough about AvantGarde, and the care we received from Carol and her whole staff, we felt so incredibly fortunate to find such a lovely, safe, and comfortable facility for my Aunt.

When we checked in it was just wonderful, friendly, happy ,they helped us move in and everything was very nice but then after we moved in it took forever to get things fixed or done, and there was no follow through, When we moved in the food was excellent, three weeks later the chef left, the food ...

When we checked in it was just wonderful, friendly, happy ,they helped us move in and everything was very nice but then after we moved in it took forever to get things fixed or done, and there was no follow through, When we moved in the food was excellent, three weeks later the chef left, the food was awful, and the portion changes. The management changed. They were a few very caring staff , but the rest were not and I wouldn't recommend this community to other others.

Still a problem with cost not much lower than [community name removed] when I add in extra stuff my mom need .. a studio or shared will wor...

Still a problem with cost not much lower than [community name removed] when I add in extra stuff my mom need .. a studio or shared will work but she has no money, in a wheelchair but takes no meds. Property good.

My wife has moved into AvantGarde Senior Living. They're very nice and they have a memory area. They have programs going on, there's sufficient staff there to help everybody, and they have entertainment and activities there. The place smells good, and the food is decent. My wife has moved into AvantGarde Senior Living. They're very nice and they have a memory area. They have programs going on, there's sufficient staff there to help everybody, and they have entertainment and activities there. The place smells good, and the food is decent. They had a rabbi who had service there on Friday, and they had a band that entertained the residents after that. The holiday party was nice. It's closer for me, it's very nice, and also less money.

[Name removed] has a wonderful, grounded, professional, and caring energy about her. I found the tour informative, insightful, and that it gave me a good idea of the services and care they offer. I am considering this senior living option at the top of my list.
