Geoff at 03 Dec 2018:
I wouldn't hesitate to give Juniper Village at a Aurora a 10 out of 10. I love the way the staff treats their residents with respect and dignity. By far the best community I have toured this year! The tour was great, events have been fantastic and special note for Jennifer Roy, her professionalism and compassion have shown with every interaction I have had with her at the community and other Partners in Caring events.

Rita at 03 Dec 2018:
My first impression of Juniper Village was one of warmth and home. The staff from directors to caregivers has been most gracious, accommodating and friendly. There are many great activities planned for both residents and family members. Juniper also has support services available for family members. The nursing staff is very thorough and competent. The caregivers are absolutely awesome in their interactions with my husband. We are so blessed to have Juniper to rely on.

Kathy Cupp at 28 Nov 2018:
My husband’s happiness is all about the staff and the KINDNESS they show not only my him but all of the residents at Juniper Village. Since moving my him here, I no longer lay awake at night worrying about how he is being cared for when I’m not there. My family thought that I wouldn’t be happy anywhere but now they all agree that our only mistake was that we didn’t move him to Juniper Village sooner. When I walked into Juniper Village and saw other residents walking around and no one fussing at them when they scooted a chair around or “rearranged” the artificial plants I began to feel hope that I was in the right place. I saw so many residents wandering through the halls and four “houses” without being fussed at. Sometimes my husband walks holding the hand of a little old lady that is still a good walker and sometimes holding hands with a guy I call the “gentle giant” because he is even bigger than Gregg. Some other places would have discouraged that, but I see how each of these residents who hold hands feel better when they have an interaction with other residents. So often now I walk into Juniper Village and a staff member tells me something funny or happy that Gregg has done that day. It means SO MUCH to me! The activity staff are always working to find things to engage my husband even though at this advanced stage of Alzheimer’s that is very difficult. The fence at Juniper Village is so tall, that I can let him wander the many paths on his own while I enjoy watching his freedom. I believe Tom and other administrators here at Juniper Village engender and support the caring loving atmosphere of the staff. I truly believe they care and want the resident’s to be happy and experience as much peace and comfort as possible. I see Tom and Jennifer often walking with residents with big smile on their faces or talking with them while our busy little community residents wander throughout the halls. They often appear when a resident becomes upset and help redirect their attention. Tom provides wonderful opportunities for family members to get to know each other and form support relationships. The first event I went to, I found that every family member I spoke with LOVED Juniper Village and felt that their loved one was well taken care of. THAT GAVE ME SUCH PIECE OF MIND! I have developed friendships with many of them. Tom attends family members lunch every 4 months and asks how we think things are going and do we have any suggestions? He makes us feel that our input is wanted and he really cares what we think. Even my husband’s doctor noticed how special Juniper Village is! She called me after seeing him recently and told me how impressed she was with how happy my husband is here at Juniper Village. I call it contented – he is peaceful and contented here at Juniper Village. I love that I know I can go home and not worry about him. This is how it should be at all memory care facilities! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND JUNIPER VILLAGE – AURORA Kathy Cupp

I've been working here for 3 years! All the staff works closely together to accomplish anything that comes at anyone's way. Residents and their family members are a big reason why I love working here because I can be of assistance when needed and build a great connection with them. It's very nice to have strong bond's with all, and facilitate a relationship with all residents. I feel so comfortable working here and we are one big family. It's a personal atmosphere with everyone here and that's why Juniper Village is A Great Place to Work.

Richard at 24 Oct 2018:
I toured several memory care communities to find the one that was best for my wife, and when I visited Juniper Village I knew right away that I had found the right place. She has now been there for two months and I feel that my initial impressions were correct and that Juniper Village is where she should be. The 'neighborhood' layout with rooms for 13 residents surrounding common living and dining areas gives the impression of being home rather than in one large commercial setting. It also allows the residents to be familiar with the caregivers in their area and for the caregivers to really get to know the residents for whom they are responsible. In addition, the outdoor courtyard actually surrounds the building rather than in the center of the building. This provides a substantial area for taking walks outdoors, sitting in the gazebo, etc. Both the professional and caregiver staff are truly compassionate people and highly experienced in memory care. Many of the staff have worked there for 10+ years and so there is little that they haven't seen and dealt with. I haven't met a person on staff yet that doesn't know my wife's name and most stop and give her a hug. The caregiver staff actually encourage me to stay and eat whenever I visit my wife around mealtimes. All of the soups and main courses are made from scratch and I haven't had a meal yet that I didn't enjoy. Activities run from 9:30am till at least 7:00pm. The enthusiasm and positive energy generated by the activities staff is special and definitely keeps my wife involved in stimulating atmosphere that has a positive impact on her attitude and cognition. Juniper Village isn't the least expensive solution for a loved one needing memory care, but I feel that the value received makes the investment worthwhile.

Staff Member at 24 Oct 2018:
The care that is provided in this facility is outstanding. Many of the staff have worked here for 15-20 years. They tend to the residents needs with obvious concern and care. The facility is clean and well taken care of. They deal with the residents as individuals and meet their individual needs.

Family Member at 24 Oct 2018:
My husband is always treated with dignity & respect and he is kept in a safe environment.

Family Member at 24 Oct 2018:
Staff is excellent. Food is well above average. The facility design allows for a more personal environment. The outdoor area is unequaled in the Denver area. Juniper Village far surpasses my expectations - the reason: staffing. From Tom and Sonny and Michelle and Chris to the many wonderful caregivers and wellness, food service and maintenance. They are all compassionate, talented and kind.
