Brookdale North Loveland

I would tell others that the staff here really bonds with the residents, always going the extra mile for them. I would say that the staff majors in caring. The facility offers 3 different sizes of rooms depending on what you may need. The cable is available, but not much else.

The thing we liked about Brookdale North Loveland originally was that it was kind of a homey atmosphere and they have a courtyard. My family member loves to walk outside when it's nice, so that gives her an option to walk outside without actually going outside the complex. However, with her condition, she feels too confined. I understand that. She has to understand that has to happen because they can't take care of that many people without knowing where they are. Her room is nice. It's the perfect size. She can be active if she wants to. The nice thing about their activities is if she doesn't want to participate, she doesn't have to. I just wish they had a library or something similar to a library that people could get books to read or something like that. Sometimes they have people come in to sing. They also have stretching exercises. One thing they don't have is decent food. They have a lot of sandwiches. I don't understand what's so hard about making spaghetti or something like that. They just don't have enough food. Just recently, they didn't have enough baked potatoes for everybody. I took my family member out to lunch that day because they didn't have enough food. You can't do that with older people. I asked one of the staff not to force her to eat breakfast because she never has eaten that much. She has her own thing for breakfast, usually cereal and such. That gal jumped and said, "Don't go blaming the help. It's not our fault. You don't know what we go through." I said, "Wait. I'm not jumping on you. I'm just asking you, try not to force her to eat a lot for breakfast." I've called and left messages for the health manager there. She's never called me back because I wanted some particular things. I'm not real happy with a lot of help there.

1) I feel safe. 2) Everybody is superbly nice. 3) Staff works hard and aims to please. I feel respected. 4) I feel treated like a real person, not a persona.

I would tell others to make sure to be involved and communicate, they are responsive to whatever you ask - but be proactive with the communication.

My mother has been very sick since the beginning of the year and had some bad experiences in the hospital, rehab and skilled nursing facility. My mother has been very sick since the beginning of the year and had some bad experiences in the hospital, rehab and skilled nursing facility. She was still getting stronger and better, though still needed more support than family could give her living along in her home. From the moment we toured Brookdale North Loveland, we knew that this was the place for Mom! Best of all, since we moved her to Brookdale North, she has been so happy, feels at home, like she belongs, and is wanted. Her health and strength have also improved considerably! We are so Blessed to know that she is happy and being well taken care of and appreciate the staff from the Executive Director, Health & Wellness Director, Admissions/Marketing Manager, Resident Program Coordinator, Business Office Coordinator, to the individual staff members that care for her and would highly recommend it to my friends and other family members.
