Please don’t make the same mistake our family did! My healthy old grandmother was refused water, walking , was locked up even confined to a chair telling her it was for her health. The phone only rings 4 times ! So they do not tell you that ! They will not hang or hook up any appliances even if you pay extra ! I begged and my grandma still would call crying . The last day I tried to se my grandma alive they wouldn’t let me , because the girl didn’t speak ENGLISH! And told me I had to call back when someone could understand my American English “

The Rose Garden of Fort Myers looked like the best one. It was in the right price range. When I met the girl, she was very in tune with the needs of the seniors around her. The staff members were very responsive. They have a garden with a footpath where you can walk around, and that's closed in, so the memory care people can go out there, and that's nice. The rooms are good-sized, and they can put two people in. But the room I looked at was for one person, and they had a TV. The facility was very clean.

The Rose Garden of Fort Myers is a great place to be. They offer assisted living and memory care support. The staff is compassionate and caring about their residents. I have toured this community and paid attention to a few different things. I have not noticed a bad odor in any of the hallways. We all know accidents happen but they are on top of it. The rates are affordable and they offer tons of amenities. Another great thing is that they take the Medicaid program. Not too many communities accommodate residents on the Medicaid program any longer. I would highly recommend touring this community if you are exploring senior living options.

We toured The Rose Garden of Fort Myers assisted living and that was nice. Priscilla, the one that handles admissions, was awesome and helpful. The patients were happy and they all were interacting with one another. That's where we were looking to put my mother in if my sister wasn't able to take her in. It's a nice facility, clean, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were excellent. They have semi-private and some private ones. They were roomy and weren't like a small space. They have bathrooms and the accommodations were great. They work with the patients that are not able to do things so they can't be on their own. They offer help with bringing their meals that they can't come out to get. They're putting out what the patients need. They have a game room with all kinds of games. You can play puzzles and bingo there. They have a movie night room and do outside outings too. The facility had a lot of rooms, it was clean, and it didn't smell. You could see a person disinfecting while the Covid was going on. There was somebody every time I went in that was wiping the place up or something. They didn't let anyone in and they had a lot of Covid precautions and I respected that because they were protecting their patients. When a lot of facilities had COVID, they did not.

Rose Garden If you want a loving caring place for your loved ones with adequate medical care in my opinion the Rose garden is not the place. The following is my opinion in my opinion only of the experience of the worst year of my life in 68 years. This is from September 2019 September to 2020. I have had several bad years in my lifetime. But this time that I spent at the Rose garden has been the worst year of my life ever. A little bit about myself I am retired US Air Force Master Sergeant Medic worked 11 years in Emergency Rooms. So, I know a little bit about medical. This place does not provide adequate medical care in my opinion. They cannot even give a shot or take a simple blood sugar for a diabetic. Julie N is the so-called charge nurse. She is an LVN licensed vocational nurse aka licensed practical nurse LPN not A RN registered nurse she does not have the education. On several occasions she has embarrassed me by telling me that I stink in front of other staff and in front of other residents. I do have cancer, and this causes a particular odor and she's insulting me and making me feel bad. When I first became a resident Juli lied to me and my family. She told us a C pap machines were not allowed at all. After researching it the state law says that with a physician’s order C pap machines are to be allowed in all assisted living facilities. I got a letter from my VA doctor stating that I was to be able to use my C pap machine. Juli decided that this letter was not good enough and would and denied me the use of my C pap machine. I have severe sleep apnea and I'm five times more likely to die in my sleep than a person without severe sleep apnea. I do not get deep sleep or REM sleep and I have been deprived of it for a whole year because of Juli's actions. I put in a complaint with aka and this really made her mad. Her aggressive behavior even showed more. I got a letter from my doctor stating that I was to administer my own insulin because I am a diabetic. She did not like me doing this and at her first opportunity she stopped me from administering my own insulin. In doing so I had to hire a home health nurse RN registered nurse to come in and give me insulin injections. She had a nurse practitioner overwrite a doctor's order and changed my insulin from twice a day to once a day and changed the amount that I was receiving. This caused me to have higher blood sugar averages and changed my A1C dramatically. She is overstepping her bounds as a LVN. This was also in my acca complaint. By doing this it also took away my testing supplies so if I was getting into a condition where I was severely low, I could go into a diabetic coma due to her actions. I do not detect severe slow lows until I am under 60% which is quite low for blood sugars.

My Dad has lived here for two years. He is always clean and well fed. The activities provided keep him alert and active with other residents. I feel like I am visiting everyone when I sit in the lobby, Staff and Residents alike. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. He especially likes the visit...

My Dad has lived here for two years. He is always clean and well fed. The activities provided keep him alert and active with other residents. I feel like I am visiting everyone when I sit in the lobby, Staff and Residents alike. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. He especially likes the visiting pets that inspire him to recall his own pets over his lifetime. I am comforted in knowing that Dad is safe and cared for more completely than I could find anywhere else.
