My father quickly came to feel safe and trust those who cared for him at Lakeland Manor, because from the beginning he was treated with tender care, compassion and dignity for whom he was as a man albeit he was succumbing to dementia. If, I had but one thing I could share with others who may one day walk a similar path with a loved one, it would be that the mark of a great care giving facility is not a well manicured lawn, shining new building, or a specific zip code. It is the heart of those who willing walk through doors everyday to serve and care for someone’s loved one even when they seldom hear a thank you or see a friendly smile. The staff at Lakeland Manor displayed the truest example of sacrificial love that I have ever witnessed in my life, and I consider my father blessed that Lakeland Manor is where he found a home even though it was for a little while. Words can never describe the gratitude I have for each of them. They were the center of my father’s world, the constant in his day, the ones he felt safe with, the ones he danced with, the ones who consoled him, and the ones who witnessed his steady decline, yet they never pulled away from him. They simply and faithfully loved him to the end of his days even when they knew it would be heartbreaking to say good-bye. For every moment of joy they brought him, every tender touch bestowed on him, every concern they had for him, and even when he may have been a bit testy I want to say thank you for the gift each of them were to him and my family.

The food was good. It is a good value for your money. They had nice patios. It was a perfect place for my mom. We moved her out to be with my brother. We had a very positive experience at Lakeland Manor. I wish she was still at Lakeland Manor. The staff was friendly.

My mom is a hard person to take care of and they are doing a great job. They have shared rooms. The food is good but some times it is cold. It is in a good location. The management really tries to take care of all the residents needs. They are a good bunch.
