The tour we had went really well. The facility was pretty nice. It was very cozy, very clean, and very nice. The people were very attentive. Cindy was one that gave us the information about the financing situation and everything. The rooms were pretty big and spacious. So, it's pretty good for what we were looking for. The menu looked really good, too. They were playing bingo and they had a nice library, and they seemed really happy.

When it comes to activities or amenities, they kind of have one of everything. The one-bedroom apartment has a little kitchenette and a bathroom.

But the only thing is, it didn't have a memory care or step-down facility. That's the reason we didn't choose them. My dad is kind of on the borderline of needing memory care. He's not there yet, but he could be in six months or a year. So, we wanted to just be able to move him into that. The dining area was very nice. They gave me a dessert cake when I left, which was delicious. It seemed very nice, and everything was very clean. The rooms were nice. It was in the running, but we just decided we wanted a place that had a memory care facility also, and they didn't have that. They had somebody who was singing for them, or a guitar player. There were several people in there, and they were also playing some game. I think it was bingo, or something was going on. It was a nice place. For a community it was very nice, clean, and the people seemed very happy there. We went into some of the units where people lived. It's a very nice community. I did not try the food. All I had was the cake, and it was good. It had fresh berries on it and stuff. The facility was very nice. The people there were great, and I didn't see any issues. It was clean, and there was a lot of things to do.

On our first tour my friend felt this was the perfect place for her. The staff is great the activities are fun and the rooms are clean and comfortable. She feels very safe at Solaris.

We toured Solaris HealthCare Merritt Island and my friend got thoroughly exhausted and has way too much anxiety. It was very stressful. The tour guide that takes you through, as a salesperson, I would love to have hired her, but she just had too much energy and she was a constant talker. That just gave my friend so much anxiety and stress. The facility was run down and it's very old. It was beautiful when they first had it built, but they have not done anything to update it. And it just looked old. I was not impressed with the dining room at all; it just was all dull and had no appeal. We saw the people lined up as they were getting ready to have lunch. The people seemed to be very nice and talkative. We enjoyed talking with some of the people there. It just isn't to my friend's taste at all.

We had a great tour at Solaris Senior Living Merritt Island. They were very informative and it's a great facility. I think my wife needs a bit more personal care than what they have, and that's the only hangup we had. She's not very mobile and there'll be a lot of walking at Solaris. It's a great institution, very clean, and well-kept. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the rooms were roomy and clean. We didn't have any meals but the dining area was also very clean and well-kept. They have quite a few different activities going on. They have entertainment that comes in once a week, they have, bingo and different things going on, and group activities like exercise.
