My mom is still pretty aware of things, and her words to me are, 'They treat me like a queen.' 'They have been really good to answer all of my questions, especially during the process of moving her in. They have plenty of activities and a good variety. The care staff seem to be very involved with all the residents there. Anytime I have had a question, they are right there to answer or help me with her. So far, I've been really impressed with the whole process. They made it as easy as possible and they have really been there for us. We really appreciate it. The maintenance man has been awesome. So far, housekeeping has been great. The management team went as far as to send me pictures, and i think that was above and beyond.

We chose this community because my cousin and I liked the place, loved the people, and it's really clean. Management is fine, my grandfather gets 3 meals a day, and we're satisfied with housekeeping services. The healthcare staff is awesome, very attentive and very accommodating, and have done everything exactly how I asked. There are plenty of varied activities and the maintenance man is delightful. All in all, for everything you get and for my family's peace of mind, the price is definitely fair.

Management is caring, efficient, professional. They're just really good. Cara, the Director, and her staff are first rate. The food is good. They've done just wonderful work with him. The lady in charge of activities is terrific. She's great with dad. Housekeeping and maintenance are doing a wonderful job. The place is spotless. The staff all looks after him and checks on him. He's getting what he's paying for.

.They have the activities, and the whole focus was on alzheimer's and dementia. I think most of the staff is very attentive and pleasant. He loves the music and they get him involved. The transportation services were very helpful and the staff is very friendly.

She has adjusted there now and tells me this is a nice place. That is what we wanted for her. I like the people that are mom's constant caregivers. They know her and I can walk up to any of them and ask how she is going today and they know. They know if she is having a good or bad day, they really care. I like every single one of them. At first I was concerned about if they would take care of her, would they make sure she eats and would they give her her medicine. I don't have those worries any longer. I know that she is getting the care that she needs. She is safe and I'm her daughter again. I am somebody she loves and before coming here I was somebody that she didn't like. I'm glad this is how I can remember my mom when she leaves us.

I am very happy with the management. They have always been very helpful to me with anything that I need. They have a lot of activities and my mom is continuously busy. My mom was a care giver in a facility so she takes on that role there...she helps people there. My mom does extremely well and they all know her and appreciate her help.

It is nice and open. The care givers have been very informative when I have called and asked questions. They cooperate very well.

I can call 24 hours and can talk to someone. The staff lets my mom help out in the kitchen so she feels like she's a worker. It's amazing because this is the only facility that has allowed my mother to participate like she's a worker and she just loves that. My mom loves that feeling of independence.

To me, Symphony is very nice and the management has been pretty good. The healthcare staff is responsive, apartment cleaning is satisfactory and the common area is kept very nice, so I'd recommend others to the community.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to everyone at Symphony, for all the care & love Mom (Betty Braddock) received during the 14 months she lived at Symphony. Although Mom passed away a week ago, I still find myself thinking about what fun activities or delicious meals she would be experiencing, as if she were still there. Symphony helped make Mom's last days on earth a much more rewarding time, which I do appreciate. Thanks to all, Lynn (Daughter)

Symphony has been a welcoming and encouraging environment for our entire family during a very challenging time. The staff are so caring and positive, and they take the time to really understand the residents and how to best help. They communicate frequently and openly, and encourage family involvement. The facility is clean and well-kept. Symphony and their staff have made a positive impact on our difficult journey with dementia!

Great for early stage to those requiring minor prompting do things. For those mid mid to later stage, not such a great place. Often short handed...many of the staff that is supposed to oversee the daily care...showers, changing, dental hygiene are not trained enough or just in the wrong line of work. They have a “locked” down section for those that wander or need more attention....my Dad escaped and not one employee noticed Home missing. He was founded covered in urine, feces and extremely thirsty in the front of the building. Dental care, early on his dental plate went missing...I noticed right away for he could not chew his food. Staff that werenjverseeing his care stated they were unaware he even wore them. Requests to make him soft foods that he could chew (he refused to be seen by drs and dentists) often fell on deaf ears. At the end, they made it impossible for him to pass in place. I requested Hospice step in and care for him only, they gave me a difficult time getting him moved into Hospice. Insisted he did not need Hospice, enroll him in PT. He passed away, clean and well cared for surround by his loved j es in a quiet setting. I honestly do not recommend for mid to later stage.

I am very happy with my mom at Symphony. She continues to be taken care of; as I would take care of her, but with much more ability to do so. She is very happy at Symphony.

I have a dear friend in Symphony at St. Augustine. This is a wonderful facility with excellent staff. Symphony has many activities to help with memory. There are many activities they can take on a daily and weekly basis. If you have a friend or loved one who needs this type of care, I highly recommend Symphony at St. Augustine!
