Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge

We toured Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge and it was a no from the moment that we walked in the door. The urine odor was absolutely awful. We wanted a place that did not have that typical "nursing home" feel to it and we got that immediately here.

When I realized my husband would at some time need residential care I visited several places in Pinellas County. I was most impressed with Ivy Ridge. My husband is now a new resident there. I am very impressed with the attentativeness and caring of the staff. Every attempt was made to help both me and my husband through the transition process. I am very comfortable having him at Ivy Ridge, knowing he is safe and well cared for. Our first experiences have been very, very good. I am happy to recommend this facility.

It seemed to be a more formal place.

Everyone there has been so terrific and extremely friendly. Overall the meals are satisfactory. They have a ton of different activities. Our loved one really enjoys the bingo and trivia. Every month they have a different destination where they encouraged the families to come and eat meals with them....

Everyone there has been so terrific and extremely friendly. Overall the meals are satisfactory. They have a ton of different activities. Our loved one really enjoys the bingo and trivia. Every month they have a different destination where they encouraged the families to come and eat meals with them. For Mardi Gras they did a themed dinner, and for the state of Nevada they did like an old Vegas theme where they had a gentlemen come play songs for them. Based on our experience so far we would recommend the community to others.

We're going to be moving my wife to Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge on Wednesday. It's a very nice place. They said that they will be working with dementia. I thought that they really are doing something with the people that they have there with dementia. They explained what they do, and they seemed to have a nice memory care program. Not that I really wanted to go that far away from where I am right now, but they talked me into it because of the program that they have. They had a variety of rooms. They were either for two people or just one person. They had toiletry and everything in each of the rooms. They had the bedding and everything for each of the rooms. I guess they were in good condition. They had a view outside. I know they have a big program because I saw all of them at the dining room tables. They were doing something together, probably bingo or some other game like that where they can all be together rather than just one or two. I'd say that it was one o'clock in the afternoon. The buildings and things like that aren't the greatest that you'd die to get in. They weren't in very good condition. I didn't have enough communication with the staff. I only talked to one person, who escorted me around to show what facilities they had. They had a big dining room that they were playing bingo in. It was also their eating room. They had a couple of gardens that they could go to outside. They were allowed to have pets.

For every imaginable holiday there is some activity they find to celebrate it, and if there is not a holiday they get to explore countries. At first we thought the rooms were small, but in fact they are pretty nice and encourage the residents to get out and about. One of the unique selling points is that they can walk outside in an enclosed walk way and sitting area anytime we want. We would recommend this community to others.
