Care for the residents.
I really feel like the staff cares for me + my needs.
Everything is good
The direct caregivers are (mostly) very compassionate. This includes the nurses, director of nursing, care partners and kitchen staff. Our loved ones level of personal hygiene has improved but varies. Depending on the care partner. This facility has very caring employees. The home looks and smells clean as well.. When we chose this facility we were assured that the Arbors was capable of managing the difficult behaviors associated with our loved one's dementia. Recently the nursing staff has been instructed by the director to call the family if behavior becomes too difficult. Is this standard procedure?
Staff friendliness & loving care. Activities that are offered & family nights Cheerfulness of decor in common areas. We have had a very pleasant experience at Adams Pointe. The only problem is becoming attached to employees and then having them leave, which can't be helped.
All in all, the residents are treated with respect. The activity departments really do a great job.. Don't cook the meat so long. It's always dry.
Great emotional care
Friendly & pleasant, caring.. Have more help & less employee turn over.. Your activities director is excellent.
very clean homey enviroment, friendly staff treat as individual. very pleased with care my husband received in 10 months residency. Feel need to advertise more locally due to fact Hospice staff not aware of facility nor the funeral home in Quincy until it was a need for my husband. I would highly recommend to community members who have loved one with the need for dementia care as does not have that 'nursing home feel'
Overall atmosphere is really good. Activity director is doing an excellent job. Nurse is also very good!
Activities for residents. Support of families wanting to have special family functions on site. Facility and activity directors are great. Nurse manager very approachable & helpful in assessing resident & overall facility & health needs. On staff RN/LPN very responsive & astute about changes in residents condition & good w/ follow up.. Keep weekend dining room staff at two, so residents & visitors don't need to help. Alternate menu has reduced choices from when parents moved in. Resident told me toast no longer available & breakfast toast decreased from full piece of breat to 1/2 a piece per parent of whole wheat. Kitchen staff voiced concern over food budget.
The staff is very pleasant and easy to work with.. Purchase, or pay for, my gluten free food. I purchase seasonal items and feel i should be re imbursed. I was told they could accommodate my diet when i came here. Convict the Arbor Pointe.. This facility is very under staffed. They need more help and should have at least two (2) all night. They sometimes (most times) only have one person. I tossed out (twice) and those was only 1 from. I was bleeding from the head and that person had to leave me to get more help to get me up.
Adequate and responsive nursing staff. Meeting my preferences and schedule.. More options and more frequency of entertainment. IE. having a musician come play every month, dancing (big band), catholic prayer group or father coming to visit/pray. Protect me and my privacy.
You always learn the residents likes and dislikes, desired timing, ect. Always friendly and helpful.. Answer call bell a little sooner sometimes, ie when it's time to pick up plate or something. It might be something more serious.
Care and pampering dad. Food is good and meds given as requested by his doctor. Overall family is very happy!. Possibly ask the family if all is going well-once a month. Makes the family feel part of their loved ones care.
. The food could be improved - too much patty's - fish - chicken & ground meat on a bun with chips don't make a meal good! Fresh rolls - etc. Fruit good. Lot of good food too! (UNREADABLE).. Note: Background info. My daughter & two sons worked in hospitals - surgery - cancer & respiratory. This place was their choice. At 95 yrs old - I can't write very well!!
