Two Hearts’ purpose is to provide more personalized care to seniors in an environment that feels as if they were in their own home. Two Hearts’ ranch-style home is designed for intimacy, accessibility, and privacy for those who require help with but still want to feel like they are at home rather than in a larger facility. The open concept of the main area of the home is based on the feeling of family and encourages a great senior living environment. The hope is that those living in the home feel supported not only by the caregivers but each other (just like family). Two Hearts’ home is located in Northwest Indiana in Lowell. My mom has lived at Two Hearts, for just over one year now. The care she received is outstanding! They met Mother's physical needs and went beyond to take care of her like family. The interaction between staff and residents is life sustaining. The whole place is very beautiful and feels like a real home.
Really liked the "home" feel of Two Hearts. It doesn't feel at all like a facility or a hospital. It was hard at first having Nan away from home, but this made the transition much easier. Everyone is so friendly and caring. The owner was so kind and made sure ALL of our questions and concerns were handled. The staff is always helpful when we visit. Nan loves that she can have others to visit with and company any time but also have her own space. Its small enough that you still get that one on one care, but big enough that they have activities, assistance, meals, laundry, etc. Personally one of the things I liked the best was how much they do for holidays and birthdays. Nan always loved the holidays and decorated and we always did a lot! They do crafts and have treats and ... well I don't have to worry Nan feels alone. The staff at Two Hearts has really become a second family and I am very grateful for that!
