I t was a good place to live I did have a problem with one staff person there but they say he is no longer there. But over all it's a good place to live. The food is wonderful and I really liked the fact that day.imly got to eat with you once a month. The staff for the most part was good to me. I did have to many roomates with memory problems as roommates. They got into my stuff to much and I couldn't do anything about it because I can't walk. But for the most part I really enjoyed the art classes and other things they had to do there like bingo and stuff like that. The place is really beautiful and I enjoyed the park somewhere ch and going to watch soft ball game's. There is so much to do there Thank you. Norma
I could never recommend this facility. The food is absolutely sub-par. Do not expect anything more than cafeteria style hot dogs and sandwiches. Not made properly by the staff. The nurses, with the exception of only a few, are mostly ignorant when questioned about anything. Also, the place is incredibly understaffed. They often hire people for part time temporary work from major cities like Chicago, who come in with horrendous attitudes. I would not recommend the place for your elders. Oh, and the CEO is very dismissive with the family of residents. PLEASE do not let your loved ones stay in this place. It's bad.

Although Cumberland Pointe is a fairly safe facility (albeit with myriad maintenance issues), I would recommend it only for very short-term, temporary care. In my experience, permanent/long-time residents are offered very limited and narrowly scoped activities, the vast majority of which are mind numbing. The food is institutional at best. This, in spite of the marketing spin, which states: “Days here are filled with activities, pastimes, and events that bring smiles to the faces of the people we serve” and “Lifelong Learning includes courses in art, computers, history, humanities, international studies, languages, music and performing arts, psychology, social studies, recreation, science, health and math.” These statements range from misleading to downright false. My advice? Don’t believe the spin.
