Lorien Bel Air looks very nice and everyone is very friendly. However, it is a facade. They project a 5 Star facility and deliver 1 Star care. Extremely under staffed, unable to provide or delivery hospice services even with Gilchrist support. FALSE ADVERTISING. I believe this place is a great example of profits over quality. It must be their mission statement.

My mom was at Lorien ,broke her right hip,unfortunately they let her fall 3 different times the 3rd time her room was directly in front of the nurses station glass door and she broke her left hip,nurses aids are not that attentive or caring ,I will say the therapist were amazing

My mother enjoyed herself interacting with the residents and staff. I would recommend it as a great place for mom or a love one who needs assistance. We picked this community, because I seen it advertised, research on computer and a tour, liked what we saw.

When they have a person/patient that needs assistant living, They will force the family to take that person into their home when it is empty from 7:30am to 6pm. When they have a person/patient that needs assistant living, They will force the family to take that person into their home when it is empty from 7:30am to 6pm. They also insist that their patient it quite capable of being on their own dependence, as Lorien facilities don''t mind urine bottles because the person has problems making it to the professional facilities that the Lorien building has. (Pull strings for help 24/7) Lorien has people cooking and supplying meals and drinks throughout the day. But still push that the person in question is capable of taking care of themselves 10+ hrs during the day alone.

Worked here for a year and loved and told doing an outstanding job as a Nurse there. Sadly I had been in a major accident prior to obtaining position among personal issues due to this and this facility’ ditched me, they couldn’t care less. Just get rid of me. Outstanding Nurse that cared about her patients and the people she worked with! Sadly a secretary that worked there had it out for the previous Nurse Manager and once she left I was her Focus!! She did an Excellent job setting me up and causing me my job!! Sadly this person although got reprimanded I did also. The difference is I lost my job and she stayed! This Facility lost an Outstanding Nurse over a Secretary!! They couldn’t care less about me and the outstanding job I had done prior to my illness! Wouldn’t recommend anyone working here!! As far as I’m concerned either you fit in and if you don’t watch your back because the less educated will take you out!! The Top Dogs don’t care and sadly keep the Trouble makers employed and the ones that truly care well you don’t have a chance. I wouldn’t recommend anyone working here!!

The staff is good to very good. Only had one bad apple. I think that is very good! Compared to the last place I lived, the food is better quality as well as the cooking of the food. You can be as busy as you want here or solitary as you please. As for the Value for Cost, there are too many extras that add up quickly. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
