The Willows Senior Community

My girlfriend lives at The Willows Senior Community in Bowie. She's in the independent living. The staff is wonderful. The physical appearance is very well maintained, and they have a lot of stuff going on for active seniors. My cousin also lives there, and she loves it. If I were looking to move in...

My girlfriend lives at The Willows Senior Community in Bowie. She's in the independent living. The staff is wonderful. The physical appearance is very well maintained, and they have a lot of stuff going on for active seniors. My cousin also lives there, and she loves it. If I were looking to move into a senior facility, I would definitely consider it. What I like most about it is the people. The people were very warm and welcoming. I also like the whole layout. They have a community room, and they have activities. It's just really nice. I just wish the living spaces were larger. The couple of times I've been there, they were having little activities. On one of the activities, they had little snacks and stuff like that. I thought that was nice, but I didn't partake. They have bingo, Christmas parties, and little activities for Halloween. They have a lot of activities going on there. Since COVID has been going on, they have a bus that comes over, takes them to the store and all that type of stuff. They also have outings.

I chose The Willows Senior Community because it is the only one I could find. I did come to look at it and filled my application, and they accepted it. I had a walk-through, and it was nice. It's just like an apartment. It's okay. I have been here a little over a month, so I can't say it's excellent...

It's just like an apartment. It's okay. I have been here a little over a month, so I can't say it's excellent. I haven't been here that long. I haven't seen any of the staff. I've never had any contact with them. I see them, and they keep everything up to date. I talk with other people here and they've been here like 15 and 17 years and they love it, and maybe I'll get to love it, but I haven't been here that long, so I can't say. They have plenty of activities here. They have bingo and exercise. They have some activities. I have never been to any of them. They have a gym, they have a pool room, and they have a library. There have pretty much everything here. However, the parking is terrible. It's awful.
