Our Mom lived at Parkside Assisted Living for a couple years until she passed last year. She was always shown compassion and respect for the most part, there were a couple aids in the two years that weren't respectful towards the residents but they quickly moved on thank goodness. When she moved in we were told they have long term employees which is rare in elderly care facilities and that was a big plus, but within a few months sadly the turnover became more often. But mostly they hired compassionate employees! Moms room was kept clean and meals were mostly good, could be more customized towards each resident I feel and not as many tomato based meals and more roasted turkey, more tender tasty pot roast or casserole meals. My biggest complaint was there needed to be more than one employee at night for safety reasons. The pluses more than outweighed the minus,we were very pleased with Moms care! Mom always felt safe too! Keep thoroughly screening new hires for compassion and trustworthiness etc.,that was a huge plus!
