11/15/2018 at this time, the people in the kitchen are very good. Activity direct is doing a good job, people are doing a good job on the floor - your health direct is doing a good job - floor help, doing a good job.. Thank you!! Sorry about spelling

Our cooks are very good now! Our activities directory is also very good. The floor girls we had for sometimes have very good quit because of low wages. They have hired new girls, some good and some not so good.. Have thermostats in every room so we can regular our own heat.

. Mom's floor is very dirty. Have asked for it to be cleaned.

The staff are generally friendly and welcoming. They know the resident's names and 'quirks' and respect them as people. The facility is always clean in the public areas. Breakfast is always a great meal - like the variety of options available and the long time frame for serving it (which allow for sleeping late).. Would like more control over when medicines are ordered. I understand that a '30 day supply' is for the stated period but if not a daily needed me, or a PRN - to reorder every 30 days when there are still sufficient amounts left seems to hint that the facility must get a fee payment from the pharmacy. Have been told it is a state law, but didn't seem to be that way elsewhere when resident had control of ordering meds.

Keep the resident safe. Laundry service and laundry room are good. The new kitchen staff at VP is great. The kitchen has never been cleaner.. 6. Nursing (DON) & administrator are hardly seen. 7. The outside of the building - grounds - are not kept up much. Volunteer family members try to help out. 8. Room temperatures cannot be controlled - so there is a vast array of room temps.

Staff greets you with a smile & are concerned with the resident. Facility is clean. The TV out front is used & on for the residents to sit and visit together and enjoy entertainment as well as make friends and not just in their rooms by themselves. This also keeps their minds active by conversations with others. Meals always look & smell good. Music sing alongs & interaction weekly is great.. When the weather is nice it is good to see the residents able to be outside and enjoy the fresh air with other residents & staff. Also a road trip to see the countryside and just get out, they seem to really enjoy. Thanks for all you do.

Resident is memory care resident The care, attention and love shown for my memory care resident is excellent. On the occasion that he has had to leave the facility to be hospitalized he has always been anxious to get back. This is very comforting for me to know that he is a least content at Arbors when I am not around. Having him content when I leave and not making me feel guilty is what I would have to say is what the care givers/staff does best.. When the building was divided into both a memory care AND an assistant living the memory side was made much smaller. The memory resident lost their gas-burning fireplace. That sitting area around the cozy, warm fireplace was a popular area for the residents. Also, the TV was located near the same location and was also very cozy and comfortable. The fireplace they now have is located in the large main dining area, which is filled with windows and opened halls. It has lot that close, cozy, warm feeling, and the fireplace is more of a heart only warming out of a small vent/blower which tends to get lost in the large open room. I would like for the residents (that always seem to be cold even thought the building is comfortable) to have a spot to go and relax in comfortable chairs and have the room more toasty that the other rooms. It would be nice to have the outside patio area on the memory side better maintained. Dead leaves blown off patio, weeds removed more often than once a season, poison ivy removed, broken or unused lawn items removed. A place that would be more enjoyable to spend time. It would be nice to have a covered, shaded, screened area where residents can get outside on nice days and get out of the hot sun and to keep flies off of them. If the dining area could open into that screened area outside, it could serve a dual purpose. Doors in the dining room could be left open to monitor outside residents as well as keeping flies out of the main dining area where food is served. Flies are nasty and a concern I have. Plus they hurt when they bite tender aged skin or linger on a small undressed wound.. The staff turnover seems large. My family believes familiar staff is one of any facilities best assets for their memory care residents. It takes time for residents to become familiar with their caregivers, and once they have established that relationship things seem to run more smoothly. We were told that this recent rate increase is going mostly towards staffing and benefits. Maybe that will be helpful. Other than that it would be nice if a staff member who leaves could be given an exit interview by both the immediate management as well as with the home corporation itself. I visit almost daily and usually sit in the main dining room, this gives me the opportunity to observe and thing. These are just some of my thoughts, suggestions and concerns. Thank you.

The workers are kind and caring. The food is excellent.. The billing statements are not clear.

Friendly, helpful, go to resident, keeps resident clean, comfortable place, polite. Try not to lose residents clothes and belongings. When putting away laundry try to at least put like items together.. There has been a large turnover in workers in the past six months. These workers have been here for around a year. The administration needs to listen to the employees concerns and not play favoritism. I would think it would be hard to have the best care for the residents with such a big turnover. It surely takes awhile to know the residents and their specific needs.
