Park Place Assisted Living just opened up a new building for independent living. It was still fairly new, but the landscaping on the new building needed some cleanup. There were steps going up and down in the building, which would be a tough time for some seniors. The staff was OK, but they weren't prepared to show the entire building yet because they were cleaning and getting the place ready for more residents to come in. We were able to see the rooms, but some of them were a little small. It was located up on the hill, and it was pretty much by itself. The place itself was gated, so I'm sure there's a level of protection there. But I wasn't impressed with the neighborhood surrounding the area.

Park Place Assisted Living felt very homey. I really liked it. I liked how small the facility was. It gave them the feeling of actually being in a home. Park Place Assisted Living felt very homey. I really liked it. I liked how small the facility was. It gave them the feeling of actually being in a home. My only big drawback was that the rooms were pretty small, but it was probably my most favorite layout. The lady that gave the tour was great. She came in and welcomed me. They had a little sign in their office that said "Welcome" with my name on it. She was very personable. They had daily activities. They take them off site once a week, and they had an activity room. I liked their location. They could see the annual balloon races that we have, which I thought was pretty cool.

We moved my mom to Park Place Assisted Living. It's like its own little hamlet, there are a variety of little houses, and you have housemates, and you get your own room. It's really cute and cozy, and the staff are so friendly, amazing, and incredibly helpful. I have never been to a facility where the staff has been so wonderful. So far, it's going very well, and they've been very compassionate. My mom says the food is OK, but I haven't tried it, though it looks amazing and nobody else has complained about it. They all sit at the table and eat together, so that's really nice to see. They have quite a few activities, they have an organ player who comes and entertains the residents, and they'll also be having a Valentine's Day get together or party. They also do bingo, they do a lot of activities, and on Thursdays they go out for lunch.

I think this is my father's week #3 at Park Place. For the first two weeks, he was in quarantine not because he had Covid, but because for protection of everybody else. I think this is my father's week #3 at Park Place. For the first two weeks, he was in quarantine not because he had Covid, but because for protection of everybody else. My brother and his girlfriend visited on Saturday, and they said that dad is doing better. He did take a couple of falls which was nothing severe, but he seems to be doing better. He seems to be adjusting, and I'm really pleased with the staff and with the facility. The entire environment is amazing. He doesn't want to be in that type of environment, so he is fighting it, but it is not anything combative or aggressive. If I send them a text or a voicemail, they always get back to me, and everybody has been very responsive, very supportive and very caring as far as meeting his needs. Hopefully, we'll know a little more this week when I see him there physically, but from the report I got from my brother and his girlfriend, he is doing better and that they're taking good care of him. My father is on a soft diet because he is having problems with swallowing. As far as I was told, they have him eat out in the main area.The setup is really awesome because they have 5 houses, and each house has 12 patients. Each wing has 6 residents on each side, then they have a little kitchen area, so I know they can monitor my father and watch him when he eats. He hasn't said anything about the food, but he will eat anything. I saw their menu, and it looked good and well balanced. The staff that was taking the phone calls explained how it was all set up and everything, and when I went to see the place, the moment I walked in, I was like, "This is nice." I also really, really like the Covid protocol that they have in there. I wish everybody would do that like taking the temperature, washing hands as you go in and just really careful about gearing up, and they're taking it very seriously. The staff has been very nice and very helpful, and they answer all my questions, too. The place is very clean and very well organized, with safety protocol in place, I was amazed how clean it was. I think their activities are very limited, but that's fine with me. I know it's not ideal mentally and physically, but if it keeps my father safe from Covid, I'm all for that. We're OK with the cost. From the range that I have found, it's towards the bottom of the range, so we're good with that. The second fall that my father took, he went down very gently, he got disoriented, and he ended up in the shower. They called me at 2:30 in the morning and thank goodness, they reported it, and it was very detailed. They reported everything that happened, they were very honest and open, and I really liked that. I'd rather have that than not knowing and not having all the facts, so I think they're watching him really, really well. They seem to be really caring people.

It’s taken me a couple months to be able to write this review. I try to keep things positive however I would feel guilty not expressing my concerns about the quality of care being provided. My mother lived at Park Place Assisted Living for a couple years and things were great in the beginning but once COVID-19 hit everything changed. Park Place became more like a prison and less like a happy home. My mother felt so isolated, lonely and depressed and was starting to give up on life. It was heartbreaking. After they cut the hours of the staff the quality of the food got so bad I was having to drop off groceries for her at the front gate. I wouldn’t recommend moving anyone into Park Place Assisted Living until they make changes and start caring about the residents. In the end they didn’t care about my mother. All they cared about was making money.

My mother lived at Park Place Assisted Living for a couple years and things were great in the beginning but once COVID-19 hit everything changed. Park Place became more like a prison and less like a happy home. My mother felt so isolated, lonely and depressed and was starting to give up on life. It was heartbreaking.
