My mother was at Golden View Health Care Center for hospice care. The nurses called me every day. They took great care of her. The reverend went and checked on her every couple of days. I have nothing but great things to say about the place. The staff was very good, very kind, super polite, and they let me know what was going on every day, so I was happy about that. Her room was nice. They had music playing every day for her. They had a TV in there and everything. It was a nice little room. When I was there, it was nice and clean. I was impressed. I know they had a whole list of activities, but I didn't really pay attention to them. I thought it was very reasonable.

Golden View Health Care Center was very quiet and there was not a lot of life. I wouldn't put a parent there that was needing a lot of interaction or stimulation. There was no socialization. Golden View Health Care Center was very quiet and there was not a lot of life. I wouldn't put a parent there that was needing a lot of interaction or stimulation. There was no socialization. It was very desolate. The rooms were comfortable, kind of like hotel rooms. They're clean, but a little bit outdated. They have private rooms. Everybody was very friendly and helped to answer any questions I had. They could have more interaction and more activities for the seniors to do or maybe it was just the time that I went. They could use some updating for sure. They have a nail and hair salon.

We liked Golden View Health Care Center of all the ones we've seen. It's assisted living with some memory care. It's got three units, and we visited The Terrace. They told us that because we were looking at both of them, my husband would have a shorter wait to get in probably. It's very lovely, clean and well decorated. The people that you see are very friendly and very open. The person who did our tour, I know her job is to encourage people to have their care there, but she's a very bright and articulate person and did a great job answering all of our questions. We didn't try eating there, but we liked the dining room. The menus had a nice variety and good choices. The fact that there are things like snacks available almost any time of the day or evening is nice. There was a country-western singer that was there, and people had gone to hear him. Their activity board had a lot of different activities. The rooms we went into, the bathrooms and showers we went into, and the public areas all looked really good.

The thing that was the most helpful for us was they took my loved one in with open arms. It was her first experience at a facility, and she was pretty comfortable there, which I didn't think would be the case. It was a good experience.
