They have variations of different activities and the healthcare staff is very attentive. We're very pleased with the stay my mother is having over there and the care she's being given.
It has now been almost three and a half years that my sister has been there and I see the activities they do and I have been to one of her exercise classes. I think the maintenance department does a good job. The building is kept nice.
My mother chose this community becuase it was close to home. The management has been imformative to me and they let me know what is going on. The care staff seem to treat my mother well. There is a good variety of activities that she can do. Overall, everything is kept up very nicely.
I have looked at the menu from the dining department and it looks fair to me. It looks like they have a good daily mix of choices. The cleaning lady comes every Thursday and she does a very good job. I check the bathrooms and all and it is done very well. I am pleased with the beautiful mums they have planted outside and the patio chairs are all clean as well. The maintenance appears to be on top of their game. The staff in activities and care do a good job of encouraging her to participate in things and go downstairs to eat.
My parents who are there and I think some caregivers, aides, like Lonnie or Esther, are really good and go out of their way. Heidi, Christine, Stephanie, Saundra, they're all very caring. I think maintenance is good and I think the place is basically clean, it doesn’t have an odor in the apartment, things like that.
Excellent care on every level. Extremely happy with our interactions with Tracy Frederick.
I am indebted to Tracy Frederick. When I had to move my wife, who has Alzheimer's Disease, from one facility to a second, and had to decide quickly about where to move her, Tracy was there for me and helped enormously. Others in her position in different facilities cared mainly about “making a sale.” Tracy, of course also wanted to make a sale, but it was clear to me that more importantly, she genuinely cared about my wife and me, wanted my wife to be in the best situation, and worked very hard to allay my concerns about moving her. I have the highest regard for Tracy. She is a very knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, and effective professional.
To whom it concerns I am happy to have the opportunity to share a story of my exposure to staff at Mattison. About 90 days ago my 96 year old father was facing a very difficult time in his life. He had been facing short term memory issues and was not able to properly take care of himself. We went looking for possible options for his care. I scheduled a tour with Tracy Frederick and I am happy to share my story. Having just met Tracy , I was faced with issues that I had to react to for my father. Adult services had been called to his home. I can truly say that I was most impressed by the way Ms. Frederick reacted , making herself extremely helpful. She and the head of nursing Ms. Davi voluntarily traveled to my Dad's home in Lakewood to see what they could do to help a difficult situation. There caring attitude showed itself very professionally. I very much appreciated this helpful approach even though we had not yet signed as a resident for my father. My father is from Lakewood and has several friends in the Lakewood Courtyard so after a short hospital stay he has been there for 8 weeks. I know that he may need a higher level of care which we as a family have discussed would be at Mattison. Again, many thanks to Tracy and to Davi. As a retired sales executive I must truly complement Tracy for staying in contact, showing sincere concern, and a true caring professional. I am glad to have this forum to describe my experience and pay my compliments. I don't know what the future will bring but we have only positive things to say. Best of luck in the future at your facility Sheldon Eisenberg
Truly putting the residents first! Recently they have instituted a direct Admit hotline, this will help so many families whose loved ones need a safe and secure transitional space. I have visited on many occasions interacted with staff and they are always welcoming. Most importantly, I love how the residents look happy and well cared for.
Very clean. Everyone is so friendly. Feels like home. Very warm and inviting. Would recommend. Great staff.
I refer seniors to Mattison Crossings and work closely with Tracy Frederick. Tracy represents Mattison Crossings in the best possible way because she truly believes that her assisted living in the best in the industry. I applaud her knowledge of Mattison Crossings and the industry as a whole.
I volunteer there and I love the residence !
I have enjoyed the community events they have been offering. I especially related to the author, Roxanne Black. She was such an inspiration. I look forward to the next event!
I have worked here for 6 months and love Milestone and all the changes I witness every day! I do what I do because I know we make a difference in seniors' lives every single day!
I have a friend who has been living there for the past 5 months. She is enjoying her time there. I can easily see why since its always so warm and inviting when I visit.
I am a vendor and every time I am at the building, the people who live there are laughing and having a good time. It always makes my day!
People seem to really like their jobs and love the residents! Everyone always has a smile!
I think having mom here has been worth the money we have spent. Anyone I have ever spoken to here has all been super friendly and supportive. I do know mom loves playing bingo. Her apartment is totally clean and well taken care of. The care staff are all accommodating to moms needs. The place looks great. It seems to me very friendly and nice. I can’t say anything negative. From what I see, these people deserve medals.
I know my mom has been happy with the service she's gotten in the past three years there. The price seems to be fair as far as I can see. As far as the activities, mom's overall happy with it. Every time I'm there the building seems to be in good condition. Mom says when she needs something cleaned they take care of it in a timely fashion, with the laundry. I know the transportation is there if she wants it. She's had no issues that I am aware of with any of the nursing staff, they're respectful. I think she's happy there.
Searching around and talking with other people before I made the decision and I was with Brookside they were very fair on the price. My mother-in-law says the food is very good and the dining staff are responsive, any time she wanted anything they're there to give it to her. There's a lot for her to do downstairs in Rose Lane, they have her active in all different things, bingo, they play games and knit and paint, they make art, they have a lot going on for them and when she was upstairs she was very busy as well. I go there and her laundry's done, the housekeeping staff are there every day, I find her room to be immaculate. All the nursing staff there is excellent, the girls there are very good and conscious of her needs, they take very good care of her. They're there all the time, when I'm there at night they're always there. I think it's an excellent place to be at and getting better.
My mom has been at Mattison Crossing for over 2 years now and I'd say the prices are where they should be, so the value is fair for the cost since she is safe and comfortable at the community. Activities are offered in terms in quantity, quality and are very engaging so they're great with them. There are never any issues with housekeeping, it's always well taken care of and The head of housekeeping is exceptional in responsiveness and being accommodating towards requests. Maintenance always seems to be in good order and rhe care staff seems very compentant at what they're doing. The ones in particular that we have been dealing with, I can say are very good so all in all it has been a good experience for our family.
Staff was extremely helpful in all aspects from the tour of the facility to the moving in of my mother. Had help from Jill, Tracy, Janice, Joann and Krista. Very pleased with the facility and staff and know my mother is in good hands.
I run a woman's support group and Mattison Crossing has graciously allowed us to hold our monthly meetings there. Tracy Frederick has been more than accommodating to our group. The staff and residents are fabulous. Some of the women residents have attended our meetings and we love having them there! Thanks so much Mattison Crossing.
My experience with the Sales and Marketing office was really educational and they spoke with compassion!
Cleanest building ever, lovely caring staff, many many activities, access to doctors so easy, nice size room and the prettiest front porch to sit and admire the beautiful gardens! Great place to make new friends and enjoy the golden years.
Mattison Crossing is a lovely community. They really focus on the quality of care for the residents. The staff is outstanding, the best in the industry! Tracey, Deb and Jill do an amazing job and are a great team!
The staff at Mattison Crossing is professional, caring and knowledgeable about the senior and healthcare industry. They are a true resource to anyone looking for Assisted Living or the next steps in transitioning for care.
They've been there a month and a half, and my mother and father like the place. The place is very clean, overall it's kept clean and smells fresh. Overall, mom nd dad feel Mattison Crossing is good. They like the staff, they like the attention, and they like the place and the area.
Mattison Crossing is a great assisted living with people who genuinely care about the Residents. Every action taken place is to better the care and experience for the Residents, which is very refreshing to see in this type of setting. Tracy and Jill, in particular, are the kindest duo that welcome the Resident, their family and friends during this important change.
My mother moved into this communtiy because they seemed to have the most in terms of activities and services of the three communities I looked at. This community is beautiful and my mother liked it. Management has been extremely sweet, answered all of my questions, taken all of my phone calls and interviewed my mom. They found out she likes to read and they gifted her a little bookmark. They have gone above and beyond. The front desk is extremely kind and accommodating when I come in. I have eaten a few meals with her and they were delicious. The care that the staff takes with all the residents is amazing. I have seen the servers sit down and cut the meal for residents who are unable to. Everyday there is a calendar of events posted in the elevator and my mom can pick one up from the front desk as well. The downstairs bathrooms have always been clean, orderly and well stocked. She has not complained on how they are keeping her apartment. She appreciates that they are cleaning for her. Maintenance has gone above and beyond. I went to look at the apartment before she moved in and I ran into maintenance. He told me that he was not happy with how the rug looked and was going to take another shot at the two spots on it. I could barely see them and when we moved her in they were completely gone. They wanted the apartment to be perfect for her when she moved in. The common areas are very nice. I have not smelled or seen anything yet. I have seen maintenance people constantly keeping the place up. My mom's doctor did not send over all of my mom's medications so I sat down with the nursing staff and they made time for me. We went over her med list and they found the ones that were missing. They put her on a list where she was monitored closely to make sure there were no issues for her from not having those meds. The caregivers have been extremely accommodating and bring her her AM meds because she needs them really early. My mom goes down two other times in the day for her meds. The caregivers are very sweet to a lady who sits by the nurses area. The caregivers always have time to answer my questions. The staff all smile and say hello to everybody. I know someone is checking on her and she is getting fed. It is a lot less stressful for me. I like how there is medical staff around 24/7.
We went in there and everybody was really great there and we liked it so we signed my mom up. The management staff are all very nice and helpful and my mom likes the food there. We're seen some of the concerts they have there, they have a lot of stuff for my mother to do during the day so it's good. The place is immaculate, it's always clean, her room is always nice and clean, and the downstairs is always very nice. The healthcare staff look out for my mother, they keep an eye on everybody and seem to know where everybody is at all time. They all know everybodys' name and even know mine when I come in, from the front desk all the way through, everybody is very helpful there.
All of these communities are expensive but I think Mattison Crossing is a fair price. The activity staff are very engaging and do everything they can to include my mom in activities. The doctor at the community is very proactive and helpful, the nurses and aides often go above and beyond. Erica, who is the director on the memory ward, she is so extremely helpful she needs the kudos. Also, Charmain, Smokey, and Joan are all just great.
I would say so far I am satisfied and it is a better value than previous communities. My brother speaks higher of the food here at this community than any other he has been in. The housekeeping and maintenance department does a good job of taking care of the community. All the staff that I have interacted with have just been outstanding. They do a very good job and my brother is very pleased with the services that he is getting there.
The reason I chose the community is because it's close and so far the experience has been good. The management staff keeps me updated with her progress. Every time I go in there I usually see someone and they tell me how she's doing. According to my wife, the quality of the food is very good and the music they bring in is great. The housekeeping is impeccable and the healthcare staff is very good, I'm very satisfied.
This is my husband's second stay at Mattison Crossing. I moved him back here about 9 months ago. I'd say the value is very good and the management has been very cooperative and very welcoming to us when we came back a second time. They respond and answer their phones for any questions we have. I do see that they offer a variety of activities, such as crafts, puzzles, sing-a-longs, movies and sit down exercises. There is plenty to do if they want to do it. They keep the community very clean. We have one particular nurse and she handles him very well. I'm very happy with where he is.
It was my mother's choice to move into Mattison Crossing. The location was a big factor because my sister lives close by and also the cleanliness of the facility, the size of the apartment and the fact that it was kosher was a deciding factor for my mom as well. My mom seems to be totally satisfied with the dining. Although my mom is not a big participant in the activities, what is available is enough to satisfy her. She's always telling us how wonderful the housekeeping and laundry is. Overall, comparitively within the area, it is a fair price.
My father had been at another community before and we were looking for something a little smaller and something that could get him back to assisted living. This seemed to be a perfect fit for him. Maintenance is wonderful, when I've asked for things to be done they're prompt in getting them resolved. Every time I come in the carpets are clean. I always see people cleaning. They really do have a lot of activities for them. Management was wonderful. Any time I would call they would accept my calls and send texts to get all of our information. I am very happy with it so far.
I think they had plenty of activities and they were geared to the capabilites of the residents. The shared a calendar that came out monthly. When I went there there was always something going on. The staff is excellent. I was very happy with the nursing staff. They do have some very great people working there and I hope they are still there.
Some of the reasons I chose the community for my mother was a mix of men and women, the schedule of activities seemed interesting, and the proximity was the main driving reason. I am very pleased with the nurses and aides. Everyone is friendly at dinner time. The dining staff do try to facilitate communication between the people and the workers. Everyone we have spoken to has been responsive and supportive. I think there is a genuine desire to do a good job and help everyone.
I think the price and value is perfectly fine. I don't have any complaints about it. I am pleased about the accommodations. I am very happy. The management was very, very helpful. I am very happy that she is in a kosher place. On a whole I think the food is fine. I don't find it to be institutional. The keep them moving and they don't keep them in one room. They seem to keep them busy and have shared the calendar. The building and the grounds are kept up very nicely. There is never a smell in there. I would absolutely recommend it to others.
I feel like they really care about my mother-in-law. When I visit her, she's very put together and she's always very clean and well taken care of. They make sure she's up and out of bed, which is good. I feel very comfortable speaking to people. Every time I visit her, it's been very clean in her room as well. They're very on top of things. They're very friendly over there.
I'm very satisfied. His favorite thing is eating out and going on the bus. I've had no problems with housekeeping and when my brother needs anything fixed, maintenance is there. The care staff does there best too. I don't think there's anything wrong.
I highly recommend it and my mom highly recommends it. It's been a godsend. The transition has been smooth and everyone has been really nice. I'm happy. The place is immaculate. My mom loves the gardening and dancing. She is so happy. She says it's really nice. I'm very satisfied. With the changes going on, I was completely informed of everything, which was nice. I received phone calls. They communicated what was going on with the changes and I know who handles what, it was just very nice. I feel like I’m in the loop. That was all great, I brought up some issues and they jumped on everything.
My mother is definitely being tended to at the community. They have patience with her. They do take care of her, I have comfort knowing she's there and knowing she's being looked after and not being ignored or forgotten. She even started doing yoga lately so there is a nice variety that definitely seems to have improved. There are more outside entertainers coming in. There is enough variety of things. I think the staff is great. The front desk knows me and they make a point to say hello. They're very courteous there.
They offer a lot of activities. They go out to lunch and different things, which my mother enjoys. The cleaning of her room is excellent. They clean regularly. They do her sheets and towels in the laundry and that's fine. Maintenance is very good to respond when she needs anything. We've been there a long time and overall it's been a good experience.
The nurses do a good job
The care staff is respectful and very loving to my mother-in-law which is wonderful. Maintenance is wonderful. They had an issue when she first moved in, and they took care of it. They made sure everybody was safe. There was a water leak, a main break, and they made sure nobody was walking near it. My mother-in-law is in the Memory unit, and they are very attentive to her needs. They know what she likes. They are very gentle and loving, and they care for her. And she likes the food. Management does a very efficient job. They have been very easy to contact and easy to deal with. I think it is a good value, and I feel like she is safe and cared for.
