My aunt was at Bristol Village. She was in independent, then she moved to assisted living, and then hospice took over. They have all stages of living conditions for the seniors. They have lots of activities. They have a bus that takes them around the town like to groceries. Plus, they have private drivers that will take them to out-of-town appointments. I didn't try the food. If there were days when she didn't feel like cooking or she didn't feel well, she would just call over and they would bring a meal to her apartment. It was like $5 a day, and they would bring her a light lunch, and then they would bring her evening meal. They have a library, they have different types of craft rooms like a woodshop for the men and some women are interested in it, they have a glass type thing where they make figurines and leaded glass type stuff, and then they have a little shop where they can sell the things they make. They're beautiful things and really pretty things. They have a pool, they have a walking track, and they have a gym. It's a very small gym but all the stuff is pneumatic so they're not pulling on like heavy weights. It's pneumatic, so it's a constant flow, and it's not a jerky-type thing. The facility is very clean.

I went to Bristol Village Homes in Waverly. It was too expensive for me, which was the first thing I noticed. It was lovely to look at. The people that I saw there on staff were very nice. It was just too expensive for me living alone; it was still too much. I didn't like the rooms. They were too small. They were clean, but I just didn't like the layout. They had a lot of outside green places with places to sit and talk to people. They had walking spaces, so it was nice. People could have activities, and it was fresh and clean. It was last year when I went, but it was well cared for. They have indoor swimming. They have different activities, like crafts and bingo. They keep people busy. They also have their own little restaurant.

Bristol Village Homes was very well managed. The buildings were well-kept and it would be a nice place to live. The person I met was very knowledgeable, very polite, answered all of our questions, and I enjoyed talking to her. There was plenty of room in the parking lot too. There's a country club, ...

Bristol Village Homes was very well managed. The buildings were well-kept and it would be a nice place to live. The person I met was very knowledgeable, very polite, answered all of our questions, and I enjoyed talking to her. There was plenty of room in the parking lot too. There's a country club, and all you're paying for is the house. They also have a place where you can go and eat and have an exercise class. There are a lot of things going on at that place.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like at Bristol Village Homes; everything was very, very nice. They did think of everything for us to come and visit. They put us up in one of their market-ready homes because we're coming from four hours away and it was too late for us to make it one day. They were nice. They even had two different couples that we went out to dinner with, and they were able to talk to us more about it. We had a nice tour of everything. Everything was just very quaint, it's a very well-kept, well-run community, and everybody was very friendly. The people walking down the streets would put up their hands and wave at you. The management is very, very kind, very caring, they're just people that cared. They did an excellent job in everything. We're going back there on Thursday, and again, they're going to be putting us up on one of their market-ready homes. And they take care of all this too, you don't have to pay anything. And they are nonprofit. The people we talked to were happy there, so you're not just talking to anybody that's trying to sell you the place. So I just can't say enough nice things about it, it's just very, very good. We were in one of the freestanding homes there. It's just like staying in a hotel. They supply all like you have bedding, you have dishes, or if you want to use the appliances and cook, they have that and they have toiletries. They have the housekeeping so it's just very clean and very nice. They take care of you.

I only live ten miles from there, and I had been in their homes before, so I knew what they were. There are nothing but good words being said about them around here. I went to the office, spoke to two different people, and got all the information, the prices, and all the different plans. I had been in the homes before while visiting other people, so I knew what the homes were like. I did not ask those people I visited how much they paid and so forth because that would have been very rude. So, I went in, had an appointment, spoke to the staff, and got all the information. They were homes, and the residents didn't need any assistance whatsoever. I was very pleased with it. They were very informative and very polite, and they wanted to know not just the basic questions. They really wanted to know what I needed and what I was interested in. Cindy was very informative and very friendly. She made me feel comfortable. When I walked in there, I was nervous and overwhelmed, but she made me feel at ease, so I felt very comfortable talking to her. They had my name on the marquee in the lobby when I walked in, and they asked me if I needed anything to drink, so they made me feel comfortable.

I just looked at some of the homes that they had available to rent, and they were all very nice and updated. They had new cabinets, new flooring, fresh paint, fresh carpets, and updated bathrooms and fixtures. They're very nice. I dealt with two different ladies, and they were both very kind and very informative. They gave me lots of information and followed up with phone calls, and I'm still in contact with one of them right now. They have a fitness center with a heated indoor pool and workout equipment, and they also have activities for people to get involved in the community. There's also a terrace cafe that can bring meals to them, or they can go there and dine. All of the staff members are great.
