  • Laundry and linen services
  • Transportation to and from medical appointments

The community’s long-term care services help a wide spectrum of people, from the active, mostly independent person to the one who needs ongoing help with their daily activities. Their mission is not to be a “place for mom,” but to be a comfortable home for people during the third act of their lives.

The community understands that each person is different and there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to senior care. Instead, they work with each resident one-on-one to better understand their needs, preferences, and concerns to create a nurturing environment for them to flourish. Each incoming resident works with one of the community’s compassionate advisers to create an individualized care plan built around their specific needs.

In addition to their outstanding long-term care programs, the Renaissance of Stillwater offers a large selection of recreational activities for residents to enjoy. Staying active and making friends are important parts of a healthy retirement and the community encourages each resident to interact with others and participate in the social activities that interest them. The community’s events change monthly, and residents can plan their schedules ahead of time by checking the online activities calendar. • Casino outings
  • Pet therapy
  • Happy hours

The menu changes every day, offering selections like Belgian Waffles, Salisbury steak and herb roasted pork chops for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegetarians, people with food allergies, and people who eat kosher can request substitutions as needed to accommodate their special dietary needs.

Residents are welcome to prepare their own meals in their apartments if they prefer. Each unit comes with a spacious kitchenette, including counter space, cabinets for storage, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How do I know if the Renaissance at Stillwater is right for me?

The Renaissance at Stillwater’s services is for older adults who want to live a comfortable, secure life with the security and peace of mind that comes with around-the-clock care. Their twenty-four-hour senior care services are exclusively non-medical, unlike a nursing home or skilled nursing facility. Their staff assist older adults with showering, dressing, and eating among other day-to-day tasks. However, the residence is not prepared to offer certain types of senior care and may not be the right choice for some people, depending on their level of care.

Prospective residents can ask themselves a few simple questions to find out if the Renaissance at Stillwater is a suitable choice:

  • Is the person mobile?
  • Does the person have Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or short-term memory loss?
  • Does the person need ongoing medical attention?
  • Does the person need rehabilitation?

Although the community’s staff help residents move throughout the community as-needed, they are not equipped to help people who are permanently confined to their beds. The same principle applies to people who need ongoing medical attention: the community does not offer skilled nursing care and is not a suitable alternative for people who need it.

However, people with Alzheimer's and dementia are welcome at the Renaissance at Stillwater, thanks to their specialized In the Moment® memory care program. Their memory care community offers services tailored for people living with Alzheimer’s disease, creating an environment for them to live and thrive.

People with dementia have to adjust to living with memory loss, which can be difficult without proper care. Renaissance at Stillwater’s memory care community is similar to assisted living and independent living communities, offering assistance with residents’ activities of daily living and providing general long-term care services. However, the memory care community’s staff are specially trained to help people living with Alzheimer's and dementia, using structured activities and other proven methods to stimulate their minds and help them learn to live with memory impairments.

The memory care community is suitable for people with mild to severe Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory loss, as long as their symptoms do not require skilled nursing care (for example, if a person is bedridden or requires incontinence care). I chose this community for my husband because is needs were going to be met better here with the location of the apartment to the dining room. It was all on one level too. My husband is eating and has only complained about one meal so far. He cleans his plate up most times. I understand he has started trying to do the exercises and has been to the social hour in activities. His light was flickering in his apartment, his daughter turned it in and the maintenance team came and fixed it instantly. I think overall they are doing just fine.

We had my dad somewhere else before and it was a lot more expensive and not nearly as good as this community. Kelly, the director, is trying to do a really good job. I am there quite often when he is having lunch and everything seems to be good. It seems like they do what they need to for him according to his diet. Veronica, the activities coordinator, does a really good job trying to get everyone involved and think of things for them to do. She tries to incorporate something that they all can do. We had issues with the TV and maintenance was helpful with that and the building always looks good when I go visit. Transportation is always willing to take him or pick him up from appointments. The caregivers do well and give him the care that he needs.

Everything we've researched was more than what we're paying now for less service. I’m very pleased with the value. Management has always been very helpful, accommodating and answer questions that I might have, they do a great job. The food is outstanding and it looks wonderfully appetizing. The servers in the dining room are very patient with the residents that they have to feed; they're very kind and attentive. The activities director is very good at reaching out to let us know if there are any activities that the family can attend. The care staff is great, housekeeping does a great job and anytime we want something done, maintenance is right there to do it.

I think the value is exceptional. The staff look after him 100%. It is hard to say from one day to another exactly what pleases my brother. The staff accommodates his needs and there is always someone for him to talk to. The management is amazing. All I have are postive remarks about the Renaissance. My brother has been a challenge at times and they have handled it beautifully. I tell everybody about them. I was so impressed and it was phemonomal. I am so blessed by being able to put my brother there. It takes a load off of my back that he is being taken care of. The housekeeping is always taken care of nicely. I am quite sure that because they are so involved with the patients and their needs I can't imagine the maintenance staff not doing a good job. Everything was amazing when I was there last. They are doing 110%. They go out of their way to make sure I know that my brother is being taken care of and his needs are met. They call me if they have a concern.

I think the price is pretty fair for what they do. The management is good and they inform you on what is going on. The activities go all the way from getting religion to getting exercise. The maintenance guy's name is Joe and we can talk to him if we need something. I would recommend Renaissance of Stillwater, my mother is 97 and this is her first time at a place like this.

I am very statisfied with the care my mom is receiving here. From management to care staff, they have good accessibility and answer your calls within minutes. Mom seems to really enjoy the food from the dining department. She stays real busy with arts and craft in the activities departments and really enjoys the church services they have here.

Mom has been in other communities previously and this place is great for her. She's comfortable here and it is just what she needs. She has a lot of fun with the activities, just the other day she was playing with a ball and having the time of her life. She likes to take walks down to the pond and feed the turtles that live there. The management team and Veronica in transportation have been very easy to deal with anytime I have needed them.

I like that I don't have to worry about the care my brother in law is receiving. The care team has done an excellent job in providing him him medication in a timely manner and often it is delivered with a hug, which he really enjoys. His apartment is really nice and kept clean and he even has a door where he can go outside. He tells me the meals he gets from the dining department are really good and the transportation service is spot on.

My mother moved into this community in October 2016. This community offered plenty of activities. They took residents on field trips, they had entertainers brought in and they played bingo. My mother's room was never dirty. The caregivers were pretty good. They did their best and they have asked about my mother since she had to move to a nursing home. My mother's situation there was as good as it could have been.

My wife and I moved into Renaissance of Stillwater almost 3 years ago. We're being treated very well and the care service is good. Anything we've needed from management they've provided. We think the food is good. It's always cooked well and they have a good menu. We get in our exercises, play bingo sometimes and get out to see the country a little bit. The bus takes us to doctors and appointments and they take us to Walmart a few times a week. I think overall they're pretty good. I would definitely recommend this community to others.
