Berkshire Commons has served older adults in the community for more than two decades and they’ve learned a thing or two about care in that time. The dedicated staff is on call 24 hours a day to offer emergency response, provide medication reminders and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs like bathing, grooming, dressing and getting around the facility). In addition, visiting professionals help residents get care on-site; these include podiatrists, nutritionists, registered nurses and speech, occupational and physical therapists. Reading Hospital & Medical Center, Reading Healthplex and Tower Health Reading Hospital are nearby for more extensive care. 

Older people can choose from eight living arrangements, from private studios to large one-bedroom suites. Each one features individual climate controls, cable television, scenic views, kitchenettes and emergency response systems. Housekeeping, fresh linen service, maintenance and meals are also included.
