Sometimes the staff has attitudes, and does not seem to be compassionate with the residents. They are not helpful with, resolving issues with care concerns. They are not delivering the services, that they promised. They don't seem to check on myloved one as often. It has been a very dissapointing experience. There is not too many options with the food. The food is terrible, always bland, which is simiiar to institutional food. It is canned food, and they don't seem to care about my loved ones food preferences. On a positive note, my loved ones room is clean, and they are always well groomed.

My wife is currently in Springfield Senior Living. I'm very satisfied and very happy with the staff in the facility. I feel very comfortable with my loved one being there. The staff are very attentive, very caring, and very friendly, not only with my loved one, but they seem to be like that with all the residents there. The food is pretty good from what I've seen. They would get nice portions and nice variety. I know they have activities daily. I haven't been through the whole building. They have a library, a TV room, and a recreation room. They have a room where they can go and exercise.

Springfield Senior Living is a good facility. It was very close to the neighborhood. What I didn't like was their snack bar because it's all old snacks in there. I toured their assisted living. Their coordinator was very professional, but when I came into the facility, the young lady at the desk just wasn't professional. Maybe she needs some training. Their cafeteria was not open, and the building wasn't modernized. They are still eating in their rooms. They are already isolated to a point, so that's a concern of mine. I didn't see any dirt, but it was just a basic facility. It wasn't pleasing. My thing is curbside appeal is everything; it just wasn't up to my standards. The location is good though because it's in the neighborhood, so it's convenient. It's also near a hospital.

I didn't see any residents or interaction with the residents. This may have been due to COVID.

Make sure you check in on a consistent basis, because even the people who handle the money had things incorrect. They never contacted me when my loved one stopped paying her rent, so they sent me a huge bill after she passed. If they had contacted me, I could have intervened and made sure they got...

Make sure you check in on a consistent basis, because even the people who handle the money had things incorrect. Unfortunately over the last 4 yrs, they've gone downhill. They've changed directors every single year. There are more young people on staff, and with young people come young people problems, for instance you say hello and they just look at you. However, most of the staff are very courteous and friendly. For the most part they were gracious and nice. I wish they had communicated better though. They did not let me know there was Covid in the building, and the first I heard was when they told me my loved one was having breathing problems and needed to go to the hospital. The food was excellent. It was flavorful and didn't taste like diabetic food all the time. They served it with linen cloths on the table, and you could order off the menu. All in all it was a pleasant experience. They dealt with my loved one's memory issues very well. She was a force to be reckoned with, and they just rolled with it. They made sure she was moved to a secure part of the building when she figured out the codes to the elevator. They couldn't have handled that part of her care any better.
