I have found no reviews of the memory care portion of wingate. I have to say that it used to be a very caring and clean place with activities and personal attention to each individual resident. My family member has lived on both the assisted living side and the memory care side. With the retirement of the nursing director and the memory care director last year I feel that no one is there to look out for the vulnerable patients who can not speak up for themselves in the memory care part of the facility. The COVID problem has only worsened this. The place is not clean and I have been informed that the cleaners did not have to clean the bedrooms when an outbreak of covid hit. My family where unable to visit at this time but where falsely assured that everything was cleaned and disinfected daily.. Now I find out through several different workers that for 2 to 3 months the rooms where not cleaned. There used to be activities all day long to occupy the minds of these Alzheimer's patients. Now they sit in front of a tv or wander around aimlessly. On every visit I have made there is always someone there soaked with urine through their clothes.
