The nursing director Marcus really cares about his residents he spends time with them talks with family often. Comes in on days off. This man goes the extra mile. Kaci is outstanding in her care and Kendra who works on both sides has been so good to my mom.. I'm not sure if snacks are provided on a regular basis or not but I have only seen them get on 1x. Weekends seem a little boring not much going on. I don't like when staff eats their food with resident especially when their having better stuff then resident. I have seen this on weekends.

Meals are very good and breakfast is served on the resident's schedule.. The new techs(caregivers) seem to be better trained and more attentive either due to better training or better interviewing screening process.

You do most things well!. This is a high dollar assisted care and it appears that filling positions and retaining workers is difficult. A loot at starting (UNREADABLE) might be the reason. Perhaps you should consider high salaries for employees.

Meals are great. The option to stay in a suite is a positive.. Hire people who have a caregivers mentality and take personal pride in fostering a home-like, clean and healthy environment and making residents comfortable.

Taking care of Mom's basic daily needs everyday and handling the medications properly. Providing a homelike place for her to live in.. I am pleased with the management of Mom's building which makes my life easier and hers.

Keep it limited on the number of resident. Less people is less confusion, which is important for people with dementia. That's me of the main (UNREADABLE) we chore their place.. More formal communication as to how the resident is doing. Even though I visit daily, still get surprised at things I'm told about my husband, (UNREADABLE) there with employees. Cleanliness is also important, to keep on eye on the rooms, as sometimes once a week is not enough to do a cleaning. And daily changing of clothes, underwear, brushing of teeth each and every day.

The staff truly like their jobs and taking care of these needy folks, they have to because the pay is nothing compared to the daily rates paid. They hug clean, feed and tell these strangers that they care and love them daily. I have never seen 1 caregiver lose their temper or act mean in the 2 years we've been there and that is quite a chore in it self.. The staff needs housekeeping help they can't clean rooms and take great care of our patients everyday. we would rather see more bath time for the patrons. Pay your people better and the turnover will slow down dramatically. . You have 2 very nice buildings that with a little work could be 2 very nice homes.

Meeting the healthcare needs of my mother. Having a house doctor who is very attentive to my mom's health and only administers prescription medicine that is necessary. She was on oxygen in a wheelchair & doing breathing treatments (was diagnosed with CHF A fib) She is now out of wheelchair, off oz & breathe treatments She has done a 180.. I understand it is hard to find reliable, good help these days, but I question the young people in our society. They don't understand the elderly all the time. I am satisfied with Sugar Creek. They have helped my mother tremendously. My mom is happy too.

Keep mom safe, fed and medicated correctly taking plot of worries off myself. The girls are very good putting up with her fading mind and truly like their jobs. She's in good hands.. I believe a higher pay scale would slow down the turnover rate that has happened for the 2 yrs we've been there. But they do hire good girls for the job at hand I believe.

Friendly, good atmosphere. Barb is an awesome activity director - It would be nice for someone full time. Activities are so important - those are very long days & nights if nothing is going on.

We think that the community service opportunities available for residents to participate in have increased their involvement in the community beyond their walls and increased their sense of belonging. (making cookies for M.O.W. etc.) Encouraging residents to come down for activities. Involving residents in calling bingo, teaching classes, having supervisory roles assist activity. . Laundry - her laundry continues to be done all in one load (darks & lights) resulting in grey undergarments & socks. Food service remains an issue at times (ex: overcooked foods; undercooked veggies that can't be chewed).. Thank you for encouraging my mother to be more active, involved, & engaged. She is a new woman!

The meals are great and provide variety.. Timeliness of laundry pickup and return.. Verbally announce any activities following each meal. The written monthly calendar is helpful, but they need reminders.
