1) Jennifer, Margaret & Joanie have a great attitude and go the extra mile for the residents. (We don't know for sure about the late night people.) However, for most of the others, they seem to do no more than the absolute minimum, for whatever reason. Chef Marilyn is especially kind and helpful and makes every effort to meet special meal requests.. 1) Fix the community bath. There is a lip/ridge that impedes a bath chair. Dangerous to residents & staff alike. Have told you this for three years on this form and in person. 2) Techs should proactively and regularly make sure that the television in the community room is on appropriate programming. Too often, we find them sitting before a program that is violent, frightening or otherwise in appropriate. Frankly, most of these folks need help finding a channel and getting it loud enough to hear.. 1) We are not convinced that meals are reviewed and approved by a dietician. There are lots of sandwiches & chips, pizza type meals with few options on vegetables if any. 2) Holiday meals with family are served on paper plates with plastic utensils. The only time such utensils should be used is if something breaks down. 3) Some years ago, supper was served at 5:30. You changed it to 4:30 to 6:00 (supposedly) to give residents options or help if needed. In reality, all the residents go at 4:30, if they don't the techs rush them to the table anyways so they can get finished with the meal. 4:30 is far too early; should go back to size.
