Highly negligent regarding maintenance from everything from defective new appliances to no pest control. Lastly, there is insufficient lighting at the entrances required to be used at night. I looked at LIV at Boerne Hills on a weekend. The tour was pretty much cut and dry. They don't offer any meals since it's independent living. It had a swimming pool and a workout room. The amenities seemed nice. There was parking, and it was in a nice area of town. It was good. It's just that going there on a weekend, there really wasn't a lot of staff there. It was just one young woman that was able to show me around. There was a couple of things she didn't know, but I think she was doing the very best that she could.

LIV at Boerne Hills is just an apartment, but it's neat. It looks like they still have the community thing. It was great. I liked it. If I hadn't gone to the place I went, I would have gone there. They got together for little special things, but it wasn't like the place where I'm going where they have everything. They have a pretty nice small gym, and they do community things, and they get together, not as much as where I'm going, but it was a neat little place. It was very nice. Everything was very nice. However, whoever was supposed to be showing us around, it was her day off, so the staff didn't know as much as she should have when we went there. She was nice, and she did the best that she could, but she could have done a little better. The facility looked pretty good.

I will be moving into LIV at Boerne Hills. The community itself has only been about a year old and it looks very nice. It's a three-story building. They have a very beautiful swimming pool. They have an activities director. I think they have a doctor, a PA (not an MD), that comes in three days a week. It's just a very nice place. It's gated. Everybody has their own washer and dryer in their apartment. They have different square footage and pricing and that type of thing. The person during the visit was very helpful and very friendly. They don't have an actual dining room or anything like that. I think that they're working on some type of an agreement with a company that may bring in meals like for lunch and that kind of thing. You can go to the senior center and have lunch, and that's where they have a lot of other activities and speakers and things like that. It's a very relaxed area, and it's very nice. It's only a year old, so they're still growing and getting a lot of other people coming in.

I have moved into LIV at Boerne Hills. It is a wonderful country-like setting with great amenities. They have a swimming pool, a gym, a dog park, and plenty of walking spaces and walking trails. It is just a lovely setting with nice and wonderful people from all over. It's a new complex. I like the parking area. You're not jammed in with a bunch of cars and a bunch of noise. It has a huge elevator, which is great for my dogs. The dog park is a plus. They have different apartments, like a one-bedroom up to a three-bedroom. They even have duplex townhouse types and cottages with garages. The landscaping is so pretty. I do my own cooking, and I think most people do. They have a wonderful event center here for parties, a game room for the pool table, and a reading room where people share books. It's only 20 minutes from San Antonio's best shopping area. They're so good about the animals. If I was comparing what apartments cost nowadays, I would say this is great. I only have to pay my electric bill, and it should be minimal. My dogs are so happy here. It also comes with a washer and dryer.
