The room was nice, the staff was friendly. The Nurse/ Director was not good, the communication was bad, I had to call often to get info.. They served dinner many nights with no vegetables and I reported it and the response was nobody really eats the vegetables. Improve on communication, professionalism of CNAs, some wore biker shorts and SpongeBob tshirts. They may want more of a Nursing presence. The Nurse left most days by 3:30p so there was a lot of time with no Nurse supervision. They lost his clothes, I asked about them, they kept saying they were in the wash and I had to hunt down his clothes, they were in other residents rooms. They would take my Dad to meals in his pajamas and no shoes, a dignity issue, he would have never done that himself. My Dad got a skin tear, they put a bandaid on it with out cleaning it. We payed $[removed] monthly and his dessert was a little Debbie's pound cake. I appreciated the CNAs, they were kind to my Dad.

Based on the experience we have had so far with Avalon Memory Care we can say they were exceptional. Especially the friendliness of the staff. [name removed] is amazing. They got to know my mother quickly and were so accommodating and kind when she passed. We would absolutely recommend this communit...

Based on the experience we have had so far with Avalon Memory Care we can say they were exceptional. Especially the friendliness of the staff. [name removed] is amazing. They got to know my mother quickly and were so accommodating and kind when she passed. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

There is no medical training. I could not always reach nurse. My loved one got a severe skin infection from not being kept clean. The food served lacked calories. Based off of our experience, I could not recommend Avalon Memory Care Tuckerton.

I think people should know that supervision is simply not what it should be here. Maybe they need to hire more people and the staff to client ratio isn't good. I actually found my dad on the floor one time when I went to visit him. He had at least three falls there and we were never notified by the ...

I think people should know that supervision is simply not what it should be here. Maybe they need to hire more people and the staff to client ratio isn't good. I actually found my dad on the floor one time when I went to visit him. He had at least three falls there and we were never notified by the staff. They did not even notify hospice when he had a fall. The communication was horrible, the supervision was horrible and my dad ultimately ended up in the hospital with a horrible foot infection and we moved him straight from there to a new facility.

I toured Avalon Memory Care and it was like a family environment. The techs there did everything just like family would do. They took care of the residents, they cooked, did laundry. They did everything needed and someone had eyes on everybody all the time. There was a really large living area, kitchen and dining area. I did not like the fact that they combined the residents laundry when they washed their clothes. The other concern I had was there were only three working at a time. I'm not sure what they would have done if the three of them got sick at once.

We really like the smaller size of Avalon - can only have 25 residents max. The community is extremely clean and there are no fowl odors anywhere. Avalon really has that homey and peaceful atmosphere to it. They have gone above and beyond our expectations. They have plenty of different activities go...

We really like the smaller size of Avalon - can only have 25 residents max. The community is extremely clean and there are no fowl odors anywhere. Avalon really has that homey and peaceful atmosphere to it. They have gone above and beyond our expectations. They have plenty of different activities going on and our loved one specifically enjoyed going to the hair solon. The patients rooms are not referred to as "the patients rooms," but they are referred to as suites - so it is far above the normal cut. They have taken such great care of our loved one it is meeting all of our wildest expectations. We have recommend Avalon Memory Care to other families and we will absolutely continue to do so.
