St. Dominic Village

It is a Catholic community that has many denominations calling it home. Daily Mass is an option. It is park like with plenty trees, trails, grass, and indoor and outdoor fitness equipment.

St. Dominic Village was very nice. The people there were very professional and very knowledgeable. The apartments were clean and well-kept. The meals were included. The dining area was very clean and very neat, too.

St. Dominic Village was a small living arrangement, but the grounds, the dining room, and the rooms were nice. It's in a very nice location. I got to meet one of the placement coordinators and she was very helpful. I saw residents playing board games and cards.

I will be moving into St. Dominic Village. I saw the small studio apartment, and it had a microwave and a mini-refrigerator. They pay for basic cable TV. You get three meals a day, seven days a week. You get laundry. In the building I would be in for independent living, you have to walk across the street to the dining room. They had several different areas where you could do activities. It's a big complex. They do housekeeping. There is a box on the wall that you can press the button for help if you wake up dizzy, or something happens. The two staff members that I met were great. They do transportation within 5 to 7 miles for medical on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. They also occasionally take you to Walmart or a grocery store. They have lots of activities. They have places where you can sit down and rest. Behind the building that I would be in was an area where the residents do some gardening if they wished. They have a guard at the gate that tells you where to go.

We have chosen St. Dominic Village for my mom. I like the level of care and the accommodations. They have life alerts for all of the residents in the assisted living facility. We have chosen St. Dominic Village for my mom. I like the level of care and the accommodations. They have life alerts for all of the residents in the assisted living facility. So if anything happens, they have someone on 24 hours duty. The staff who assisted me during the tour was excellent. The facility was clean. Everybody seemed very friendly. The residents looked well taken care of. They had various levels. They have the nursing home, independent living, and assisted living which was more of a hotel-style with a studio apartment. So my mom will have her own restroom, own bedroom, and privacy.

I have several friends that lived at St. Dominic Village. Everything is very nice over there. The room is very nice, refreshing, and homey. Everybody was very accommodating. The dining area was nice. They have games, music, and fitness.
