I sometimes think the meals could be a bit better and more varied with a more home cookin' feel, but I'm not here very much. Everyone that I have met is kind and good to the residents. My Mom seems happy here and has many friends amongst the residents. There are a lot of varying degrees of care here. There seem to be several activities. Things are much better since covid is not the worry of the day.

Overall cleanliness . The housekeeping staff frequently doesn't show up on their scheduled day. When they do they sweep and mop with the same tool which is dirty from their previous cleanings. Overall cleanliness . The housekeeping staff frequently doesn't show up on their scheduled day. When they do they sweep and mop with the same tool which is dirty from their previous cleanings. Soal scum is left in shower. Friendliness Everyone is friendly with the exception of the supervisors and administrative staff. Care Services Aides are overworked and often are staffed 1 to 100 residents. They leave because of poor supervision and misleading promises. Meals are Dining services I receive in my room. Meals are very late. Activities I will not comment. Overall only the minimum services are provided. For me, i have had great difficulty in getting responses from management. It took the GM 7 weeks to respond to a concern. Overall the place is dirty and shabby. I don 't feel the rent is fair when compared to everything. I would not recommend Truewood.

It is a really nice place. Very friendly staff and residents. For the cost, it cannot be beat. Locale is great and easy to get to. Parking is limited, but you can park in the church lot next door if needed.

I think there could be a little more communication from them, especially because I think a lot of families are new to this and don't know how things go. We don't hear much from them unless we are the ones initiating with questions...

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff friendliness and cooperation along with the affordability stand out to me about the community. They are very easy to get ahold of the staff and they work with the family on answering questions or addressing any concer...

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff friendliness and cooperation along with the affordability stand out to me about the community. They are very easy to get ahold of the staff and they work with the family on answering questions or addressing any concerns if we have any. They have good food. They try to work with the residents requests. Some of the activities include exercise, walks, book club, game nights, movie nights, ice cream socials, quilting, and more for the residents to choose from.

I did not enjoy my tour with Truewood by Merrill. They were going through a transition to try and make things nicer, but it had a strong smell of urine. I just knew this was not going to be the right fit for my loved one.
