Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How do I know if the Pheasant Ridge is right for me?

Pheasant Ridge offers a wide spectrum of non-medical services for people who need mild to moderate care. Their community is suitable for people with a wide range of personal care needs, and their staff helps older adults with their daily activities (like dressing, eating, and maintaining their personal hygiene). However, the community is not licensed to provide skilled nursing care and is not equipped for health care like nursing homes. To see if Pheasant Ridge may be a suitable option, prospective residents can ask themselves the following questions:

  • Are they confined to their bed or permanently non-ambulatory?
  • Do they need ongoing medical attention?
  • Do they have memory impairments, Alzheimer's or dementia?
  • Do they need rehabilitation?

If a person is non-ambulatory, Pheasant Ridge may not be a suitable choice for care. The community is not equipped to help people who are permanently confined to their beds and will not admit anyone whose safety they cannot guarantee. The same principle applies to people who need ongoing medical attention: like many assisted living facility, Pheasant Ridge is not licensed or equipped to offer skilled nursing care to someone on a regular basis.

However, people with all stages of memory loss, Alzheimer's and dementia are welcome at the Pheasant Ridge as long as their care needs can be fulfilled with non-medical treatments. The community’s In the Moment® memory care program creates a structured and secure environment for people with Alzheimer's disease and memory impairments to receive care, much like assisted living.

To learn more about the community’s admission guidelines, available personal care services,  and level of care requirements, use the link above to make an inquiry.

Q: How do I know if Pheasant Ridge’s In the Moment® memory care program is right for me or my loved one?

Living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia can create new hurdles in a person’s life as they get older. Memory loss presents challenges a person may not be used to and they may need help to adjust to life with Alzheimer's disease. Fortunately, Pheasant Ridge’s In the Moment® memory care services are there to help those who need it most.

Pheasant Ridge’s memory care community is similar to assisted living and independent living communities, offering assistance with each person’s daily activities and providing personal care services. However, the memory care community’s staff are specially trained to help people with memory loss, Alzheimer's and dementia, using structured activities and other proven methods to help them manage their symptoms.

The memory care community is suitable for people with mild to severe Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory loss, provided their symptoms do not require skilled nursing care (in the case of people who are incontinent or confined to their beds, for example). To learn more about Pheasant Ridge’s Alzheimer’s care services, prospective residents can use the link above to make an inquiry.

Q: Does Pheasant Ridge offer short-term senior care?

Caregiving is an important job, but everyone needs time away once in a while to look after personal responsibilities and recover from his or her duties. When family caregivers need professional help to care for a loved one, Pheasant Ridge’s respite care program can help for up to 30 consecutive days. Respite care residents stay in the same spacious apartments as other residents and have access to the community’s social events and activities. To learn more about respite care, families can use the link above to make an inquiry.

Q: How much does Pheasant Ridge Living cost?

Because everyone’s care routine is unique to them as an individual, so is the cost of assisted living. Pheasant Ridge does not have a “one-size-fits-all” price for its residents, instead of charging a base rental fee according to their floor plan and adding fees for each additional services a person needs. The base rental fee includes a person’s room and board, housekeeping, and meals while additional services like short-term rehabilitation are added accordingly. Rental fees vary by floor plan, with smaller floor plans offering more affordable room and board.

To get a personalized monthly quote, prospective residents can use the “Get Pricing” tool above.

Location was a big part of my decision in choosing Pheasant Ridge Senior Living Community for my mother because it's very close to where I travel daily. It's good and worth it to me as an only child. I think the rooms are very spacious and we got the choice of a couple, so I chose the one where she can watch the cars go by and I am very pleased with her room, it stays toasty warm in there. My mother says the food is very good, the help is excellent and the activities are fine, she enjoys Bingo and some of the music offered. The housekeeping is excellent. They keep her room very clean, she has new carpeting and they maintain it very nicely which brings me to maintenance. We haven't needed maintenance for anything, but they're very good and the building is very clean and well maintained. Regarding her care, the staff is respectful and knowledgeable so to me, I am getting my money's worth.

I am very happy with our choice of putting my mom here. There are activities that are doable that my mom with Dementia is even able to complete, at least half of the things there, so it gives her some opportunity and she is less isolated than she was at home. She became more engaged out there so that's really been a good thing that we've noticed. The healthcare staff has all been very kind and the front desk staff has been amazing, they're always in a good mood, they're always very pleasant and nice to the residents there.

They were just wonderful with my brother and us, anything we needed or asked for, and we had immediately. The management was very patient with him, the food was good, and the room was kept clean. They were just great and he was happy there. The food was great and they had plenty of activities there, there were opportunities for him and they would always ask him to come down. They were really great with the maintenance; they kept it really done nice. They kept all the flowers trimmed, nothing was shabby looking, and they kept the carpeting shampooed. The transportation services were great too, they were super with him. They watched him and made sure he didn't get left behind, he felt safe. The healthcare staff was just so good, very timely, they answered questions any time we had them and if they weren't available, they would call back in a timely fashion. They did a good job for the care he had.

I have two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchenette, a good sized bath, it's nice. Management are very nice and considerate, if you have a problem with anything they will sit and listen. I have two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchenette, a good sized bath, it's nice. The food is just really good; the service is very good too. They have activities here or take you to activities when the weather permits. I never thought Pheasant Ridge would have all of this but they do. The housekeeping staff is good about doing things around the apartment and the transportation services take you places you want to go or need to go.

In the time my father has lived a the community I think the management team has been working out well. He is on a pureed diet but he eats it well. I have seen the actvities and they appear to be fine. The building is fairly well maintained. I am there when he gets his morning medication and they seem to be on top of that. I know of one caregiver that is on top of his grooming and I’d say that is all been good.

Staff at Pheasant Ridge treat residents like family. This community has been such a blessing to my mom and has provided peace of mind and comfort for our whole family. Knowing mom is safe and that she has caring, capable support around her 24/7 is invaluable. The available services have removed so much worry and stress for mom and she is now able to enjoy her days. She has made new friends and is no longer isolated and lonely. I only wish we had known about Pheasant Ridge earlier while her husband was still with us. He would also have loved the social activities and comfortable lifestyle at Pheasant Ridge.

There is no place like home: however, that's not always possible. We needed an assisted living place for mom and Pheasant Ridge Senior Living Community was our choice after checking out other places. The staff is caring and they treat our mom so well. She is happy and has made friends. We don't have to worry that she isn't taken care of. My sister, brother and myself are very happy with Pheasant Ridge SLC. The management staff are so helpful and really go above and beyond to meet our mom's needs. We feel very blessed that our mom is in good hands.
