I went to Laurel Glen at Bremerton Senior Living. They had a variety of studio, one, and two-bedroom rooms, and they were all being modernized as they went. So the property I thought was clean, and it seemed like a nice place. It was a good experience. The manager that met with me was very helpful and answered all my questions directly. I spoke with one of the nurses, the other people I spoke with were friendly. She showed me one of the big two bedrooms, it was spacious, and certainly too big for my mom. The rooms she showed me were being modernized and repainted as they became vacant, and the amenities and the quality of the upgrades seem very nice. They were nicely painted clean rooms. Some had new kitchenettes and new cupboards and things like that. So, they looked very nice. There was a group of ladies that were doing activities. It's in an urban setting, right there by the old hospital. I saw the menu, it did look pretty diverse, and they had a dietician on staff. So it looked like a good variety and they were sensitive to the needs of their residents.

Claims to 5 star food are false. it's prepackaged and is not helpful for heart/diabetic patients with sodium and diabetic restrictions, Food staff can be rude and take away dishes before the resident is finished. White Table cloths are not changed out after use and extra silverware gets moved to other tables to be used by other residents even if it was touched by residents. Health inspections needed. The management can be very friendly, as the bus driver and most CNAs. No nurses onsite during night shift (not sure about weekends). Only Med techs and CNa, with a couple of nurses. The place has a lot of great things going for it too. Activities, the facilities are nice. Still no beautician even after several months. Get Home Heathcare assistance if your relatives stay here to ensure proper care.

The people are wonderfully friendly and the space is a good fit for my dad. I do wish that the staff was more organized and communicated with each other better. I don't know that the organization and communication issue is unique to such facilities. Overall I would recommend Laurel Glen at Bremert...

We picked this community, because they had a room ready and where in the budget range. My mother likes it.. I would recommend this community to other families.

My brother moved into Laurel Glen at Bremerton Senior Living. I was able to get an appointment, tour the facility, and get him enrolled. I didn't even need to look at other places. This had everything he needed. They have a lot of opportunities to enjoy the activities. He enjoys mealtimes very much....

My brother moved into Laurel Glen at Bremerton Senior Living. I was able to get an appointment, tour the facility, and get him enrolled. I didn't even need to look at other places. This had everything he needed. They have a lot of opportunities to enjoy the activities. He enjoys mealtimes very much. He recently started attending movie nights, and he's enjoying that. He's taken the bus and done tours where they're taking the residents for enrichment, and he's enjoying that. The staff is kind, and they've been very patient with him. They put him on medication management since he's been there. It was a little bumpy at first, but now he gets all his medications in the right doses at the right time, and he is significantly better. They've done a beautiful job renovating the facility. It's still not quite finished, but it's very, very nice and very homey. He is in one of the remodeled apartments. It looks very clean and very nice. They have a nice area to lounge and read a book on each of the floors, and they have two nursing stations. The only thing is the availability at the front desk isn't always there. If you need to talk to someone or get something done, often the front desk is empty. But lately, they've been trying to staff it better.
