    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: How do I know if Glenwood Place Assisted Living is right for me?

Each person’s needs are different and it’s important for everyone to find the right senior living community for them. Glenwood Place offers non-medical personal care services as an alternative to in-home care for people who need mild to moderate assistance with their activities of daily living. However, the community is not licensed to provide skilled nursing care and is not equipped to help people with special health conditions or chronic injury.

To find out if Glenwood Place could be a suitable choice for care, prospective residents should ask themselves the following questions:

    • Are they ambulatory or are they permanently confined to their beds?
    • Do they need ongoing medical attention?
    • Do they have memory impairments, Alzheimer's or dementia?
    • Do they need rehabilitation?

The community’s staff regularly help residents get up and around their apartments, but they are not equipped to help people who are permanently confined to their beds. The same goes for people who need ongoing medical attention: if a person needs skilled nursing care to maintain their chronic illness or injury, Glenwood Place may not be a suitable option for senior care.

However, people with Alzheimer's and dementia are welcome at the community, thanks to their specialized In the Moment® memory care program. Their memory care community offers services tailored for people living with Alzheimer's disease, creating a safe and secure environment for them to live and flourish.

To learn more about the community’s personal care or memory care services, interested parties can use the link above to make an inquiry.

Q: How do I know if Glenwood Place’s In the Moment® memory care community is right for me or my loved one?

Living with memory impairments or Alzheimer's disease can be challenging. Memory loss presents new challenges to a person they may not have experienced earlier in life. However, with specialized care and compassionate attention, people living with Alzheimer’s disease can enjoy a relaxing, nurturing retirement at Glenwood Place thanks to their In the Moment® program.

The In the Moment® program is suitable for anyone who needs Alzheimer's care but does not require medical treatment. Their staff is equipped to help people with early to late-stage Alzheimer’s and dementia, using structured activities and empathetic treatments to make their dementia journey as stress-free as possible.

To learn more about the community’s memory care program, use the links above to make an inquiry or schedule a tour.

Q: Does Glenwood Place offer short-term care services for in-home care recipients?

Yes! If an in-home care recipient’s family caregiver is away, they can stay at Glenwood Place for up to 30 consecutive days as part of their respite care program. They are welcome to the same amenities as assisted living residents and receive many of the same services. To learn more, use the link above to make an inquiry.

Q: How much does Glenwood Place cost?

The cost of living at Glenwood Place varies. A person’s room and board depends on their floor plan and additional services may come with added monthly fees. For example, two-bedroom apartments may cost more than studios, and a person who needs medication management may pay an additional fee for the service.
