Parkinson's is a dreaded disease for both the patient and caregiver, who oftentimes is the spouse. When my husband was diagnosed in 2018, I thought I could manage. After months of trying to provide 24/7 care I had to admit I needed help. I tried two other companies; one of whom provided an amazing caregiver but when she left the company an adequate replacement wasn't found. I asked our Parkinson's doctor if they had any success in referring patients to an in-home caregiving service. The office staff was very enthusiastic about Home Instead. The staff member told me she was thrilled with the quality of caregivers provided to her mom. Her recommendation turned out to be a blessing from God a Divine Appointment to be certain. Every caregiver has been professional, courteous, respectful and have proven themselves trustworthy. Most importantly is the level of care they offer my husband. I never imagined he could receive even BETTER care than what I tried to provide but the caregivers have provided a level of companionship. particularly the male caregivers, that I cannot. They fill a void that I haven't been successful in filling. When faced with the all important decision of entrusting your loved one with in-home caregivers you can trust Home Instead. From the ownership, to the schedulers, the office staff to the caregivers they are exceptionally gifted and caring. Thanks Home Instead for helping this challenged spouse and my precious husband.
