First of all I'd like to say the staff there are awesome ( Not upper management) New management is greatly lacking management skills and needs significant restructuring overall. Management that works with two faces will only destroy a company . Communication throughtout the facility is very poor and the resident care varies depending on where they're located # 1 upstairs Res are more cognitive and are able to express their concerns more so they are catered to first. Then there's downstairs who are a little less cognitive but still can complain so they do enough to appease them. And then you have the memory unit where they are cognitively impaired and their needs are met last and it is very apparent. The facility is incredibly clean thanks to the wonderful housekeeping staff, they always do a great job The meals served are either to hot ( spicy) or totally bland and I personally do not believe they take into consideration the types of food the residents were use to eating back in their day. Repairs or replacements are a drawn out ordeal, with everything having to be approved by state it can still take 6 month or longer for a replacement of needed equipment. small repairs are usually done fairly quick. Nurse's/ Cna's are awesome and do a wonderful job careing for the Res. but most often work short staffed and work long hours with absolutely no recognition or appreciation at all . The " Were in this together" is comical to say the least.
