Placing my mom at Villa Maria was one of the hardest and best decisions I have ever had to make. Mom has been at Villa Maria for three years. She receives excellent care and we have come to view the staff as family. During the first few weeks, I spent a lot of time crying in Amy’s Office; she always made me feel welcome and never hurried me. The owners Cindy and Bruce walked me through the Title XIX Application. The recreational therapist is aware that my mom loves to sing, and mom is always front and center when the chorus volunteers. Leah, the dietician, knows mom’s favorite foods and accommodates her as much as she can. Christine, the Executive Secretary, always gets things to where they belong. Pat, in fiscal, works with me to get things right. I could go and and on, but knowing mom is well taken care of and happy gives me a great sense of peace. Yesterday, mom had surgery to have her eye lids lifted and I got a call from the nurse and 8:30 pm to say she was tucked into bed.
