My mom has been in Autumn Lake at Bucks Hill for over 8 years . About a year and a half ago everything changed. New Administrator came in and is heartless for people and their family. He only cares about money and the look of the building . He made my mom move her room after seven years and had zero care how this would confuse her. During the first COVID lockdown the failed my mom compared. I wish I could post pictures on this site of how they did not take care of her. Anyone can Facebook message me and I could show you. All her t shirts went missing and probably given to other patients to wear. She had bad eyesight but went completely blind in their care and they did not even know until we were able to see her and noticed she lost a lot of weight because she couldn’t see her food to eat and when we told them she can’t see anything their response was... when did this happen. When we left her in your care! During the COVID lockdown , every construction worker was going in and out as they please but family couldn’t go in. You can see he only likes short term care because if you look down the halls, rehab area is all new, long term area is filthy rugs and filthy bathrooms that never are cleaned. We have been allowed in under compassion care but the Administrator locked us out and doesn’t care that our mom needs us to care for her. He doesn’t return calls cause he can’t deal with family and doesn’t know how. NO ONE returns calls. Heartless and uncaring. Why does my mom stay there ? We lived our whole life in this area and she is afraid to start over. I live 2 minutes away and me or one of my family members is there every single night to give her the right care. DO NOT put your family in their care . You can contact me on Facebook messenger and my family can tell you many stories and show you many pictures .

My mom has been in Autumn Lake at Bucks Hill for over 8 years . Everything was good for years . New Administration took over about a year and a half ago. Every has changed for the worse. First she was kicked out of her room after seven years of making that room her home . They gave her no choice. Activities lessened , food changed, no more beautiful celebrations . During the first COVID lockdown we had no choice but to leave my mom in there care . She lost her eyesight completely and they didn’t even know until we were allowed to have outside visits and noticed she couldn’t see to eat therefore she lost 26 pounds because no one was helping her eat. We were not allowed in but construction was constantly going on inside and any type of construction worker was allowed in . They cared more about the vanity of the building than taking care of residents . We are now allowed Compassion Care visits . My mom is doing ok now that one family member is caring for her every night . Two day ago, even tho the Obudsman said they can’t take away Compassion Care during the spike in COVID, they locked us out again . The administrator will not return our phone calls. We are so afraid for my mom. Why do we let her stay there you might wonder. I am 2 minutes up the road , it’s my mom’s neighborhood and when we are able to give her the care , we are ok. There are 2 nurses aides that we love but they don’t work everyday . DO NOT put your family in this place . If you walk in, look down both halls, short term area is new and updated, long term area is dirty, filthy rug...zero update. Administration is totally heartless.
