My dad has been here for about 1 week. The staff has been super nice and attentive. Very helpful on getting him back on his feet. The place definitely needs a renovation and could use a touch up everything is “dated” but nonetheless it’s been super clean. I would definitely recommend!

- Avoid Manor Oaks at all costs. I repeat, avoid this facility if you care at all for the person you are subjecting to this atrocious place. I assure you this review is not being written out of spite or malice. Nor is it being written out of emotion or grief. It is purely fact. Manor Oaks greatly added to the decline of my loved one. I truly believe they may have been better off never setting foot inside this decrepit and cold building. The staff was at best ambivalent and dismissive and at worst, incompetent and damaging. They treated the patients with such disdain even when family was visiting. Sure, there were some people who were marginally understanding. But on the whole, it was staggering how uncaring so many of the staff were. One nurse force-fed my family member so gruffly, we had to step in and he remained fairly traumatized by the experience, afraid to eat when they brought meals. In readjusting his bed set-up and pillows, the physical therapist left him awkwardly positioned on the bed which wrenched his back and again had him develop an aversion to the care. These were not isolated incidents and unfortunately not even close to the only ones that occurred at this facility. What''s most alarming is they happened when visitors were around to witness. Who knows what peril and ineptitude my family member faced when there was no one around. When we ultimately had to move him to the hospital, the doctors were aghast at the amount of bed sores, the lack of observation and treatment of a known wound that festered and got much worse, and the missing of an obvious UTI. All of these things should have been apparent to or caught by 24/7 on-call medical "professionals" but were obviously overlooked due to their lack of compassion and concern. We have no delusions about the state of our loved one. He was sick and towards the end of his long, fulfilling life. Was Manor Oaks responsible for his passing? No.. But did they make his final weeks unnecessarily and significantly less comfortable and perhaps even steal time from him due to their neglect? In our opinion, yes. Absolutely, undoubtedly, yes. I could go on and on about the lack of cleanliness, paltry food, constant stream of finger pointing and miscommunications. But in the end, my goal with this review is not as a catharsis -- it''s to help someone avoid the same fate as my family. If you value your family member, find somewhere else. Anywhere else. Treasure their lives, hug them tight, and tell them you love them. And above all, avoid Manor Oaks like the plague.

The staff at Manor Oaks is not to be believed they are so patient centric and so caring. They treat the patients as if they are family. My husband is well cared for and I highly recommend this facility.
