Every time I went into this room there was a puddle of water this time her eating tray was over it didn''t see the water outside the tray and slipped caught myself and I went to find somebody about the water and they said she had been the one doing it who cares who done it it''s their job to keep up on the cleanliness of the rooms and the rooms are filthy this place needs to be shut down it''s ridiculous you can never find anybody and then when you do they don''t know nothing nobody knows nothing at this facility it''s not a good facility that''s why they only got one star

I was only there for 5 days, in those 5 days I was only able to use the rest room 3 times, because the rooms do not have private bathrooms they are shared with another person (Jack and Jill). The person in the other room from me had dementia or Alzheimer''s. When she went she would lock the door ...

I was only there for 5 days, in those 5 days I was only able to use the rest room 3 times, because the rooms do not have private bathrooms they are shared with another person (Jack and Jill). The person in the other room from me had dementia or Alzheimer''s. When she went she would lock the door and leave the light on which included the fan running 24/7, Every time I needed to go the light was on and I assumed she was in there, if I did go and knock on the door I still couldn''t get in, By the time that I would signal for the nurse to come and they would come they would have to go into her room to check to see if she was in the restroom go through the restroom and unlock the door. Then come back and tell me that the door was unlocked so that I could use the restroom unfortunately in that 20 minutes of time I no longer had to go. Thank goodness I was provided with adult underwear and had to change them quite frequently. My only other complaint was that the facility seemed to be run by all CNAs. I didn''t see an RN but a couple of times while I was there. When I checked in I was told that there was a doctor that would be in to greet me. The only time I saw a doctor was when I was leaving and he had to come in to release me it took him a whole 5 minutes, of course my insurance was billed about $200 for his 5 minute visit. I was not thrilled about the bathing situation either, I am just not use to fully stripping in front of someone young enough to be my child and then being watched every move that I made while bathing. You can only get a bath every other day. I did receive very good physical therapy while there.

I’m here now been here since jan4. The first four days I was here they left me in bed not even changing my gown. It seemed as though all their therapists quit or otherwise, they never should have accepted me from the hospital, they are understaffed in every way. I tried to change facilities then, when i found out the therapy department was in shambles, but the ceo told me my packet was refused by the other facility, that was false admin never sent the packet in the first place, so i was forced to stay here. The therapy dept is still in shambles ive filed a grievance and other paperwork items, things haven’t changed, there is no plan, no structure, no accountability, i would not recommend this facility for anyone,, They get one star because nursing and the cnas care, they really do, housekeeping does a bang up job, shower lady is the best, food service is great,, these people deserve a raise. They have been overworked to the extreme. Even though these people have been wonderful i am here for the therapy. See last august after six years in a wheelchair I was up and walking with assistance 40-63 feet(kinda awesome really being a sci second time getting out of chair) then i completely tore my tricep in left arm. My left arm is 99% of what i can do, that is why this is so crucial, and since I’ve been here i have regressed. having worked with therapists and being on a rehab floor before i would not recommend monte vista for anything. Adding to my review. I’ve been home a month now reflecting on my 2 1/2 month stay. Nobody used a gait belt to transfer me. The one licensed OT therapist never used a belt and did not know how to do it. I wanted to be dressed before or after breakfast, i wanted a workout plan, a routine schedule. Took them 6 weeks to develop the simplest of workouts. The only PT i worked with was a iPad, ya it was a zoom call, for therapy. I disagreed with that a lot. The under staffing got worse. While i was there the NOC CNAs each had to take care of 25-28 patients a shift, many of them had to pull 12-18 hr shifts regularly. The daytime CNAs pulled 15 or more patients per shift, and again running a 12-18 hr shift was common place. The shower lady HAD to shower 10 patients in an 8 hr shift. Those are impossible industry standards. And by the way, the CNAs aren’t being paid what they are worth. The employees are so gaslit they do not recognize that how worked to the bone they are, and how insufficiently trained they are. To me these things are reasons why i would n ver recommend this place.

Very friendly staff! The nurses and CNA''s truly care about the clients.
