Today my Visit with Mr Whitfield was very nice. I arrived at about 11:28am and although I did wait awhile in the lobby (30 mins) I learned that Mr Whitfield may have been resting prior to my arrival. Because he was asleep or about to fall asleep he slept after about 20 mins into our visit. He was trying to stay awake but I asked him to close his eyes & rest. The facility was clean and several patients were in the Dining Area. Both The TV and the Radio was on. I''ve visited 12 times and this is first time I saw the TV on. That was nice. Also because if the temperature the Windows were open providing fresh air and sounds from outdoors. That was very good too. Travis was fully dressed and clean shaven. His hair was recently cut and he was we groomed. His nails were nearly trimmed and his clothing was clean. He was happy to see me but little tired so he didn''t talk much. I will return in Sunday. Travis & I like music and we enjoy Sunday Afternoons because Crazy Howard is on The Radio on Sundays after noon. We look forward to hearing the Contests he has every Sunday. Going forward, ease let me know if Mr Whitfield is sleeping because I can always come back at a more opportune time. I do not want to disturb his rest. Thank you.

Only toured the facility due to my husband needing short term rehab/dialysis once discharged from hospital. Ok where do I begin. I really tried to be open minded. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Impossible with this place. Given that all I can do is judge by its appearance. I gave two stars because the staff was friendly the two that I met. This place was so grimy and filthy from the outside parking lot and entrance to the seventies decor. Even the two chairs in the waiting area were grimy and coated with dirt. The patient rooms were all dark, dingy, the bedspreads looked like they were from thrift stores. Walls were so scuffed with dirt, peeling paint, old furniture and god only knows how old the mattresses are that people sleep on. Bed bugs come to mind. The red carpet lining the floors in the hallway was so black it looked like tar. And the smell was indescribable. There are no showers in patients rooms. They are located in the hallway. They are shared by every patient on that floor. So unsanitary. I was afraid to look at those. The patients looked so miserable it broke my heart. The larger rooms, dining were just big open empty rooms. No TV that I could see. No music. No bright colors, flowers, paintings, the therapy in the lower level looked nice and well appointed but no one was using it. Every patient was in hospital gowns disheveled and looked unkept. It is apparent that no Money what so ever has been invested in this place for decades. I absolutely could never justify sending my love one here. Even if they have the best therapy available. The bacteria is alive and well. This is the true definition of old people’s prison.
