This place is very frightening. Medical care is minimal. It''s basically a homeless shelter for people with medical issues. Staff gives out incorrect medications all the time. Patients are treated with little respect if any. Building is very old, dirty, and in need of great amount of repairs. Diabetics are given pop, candy and chips on a regular basis. Smoking is permitted with no discussion of anybody quitting for health issues. It''s a regular occurrence to have to use one of the 3 ladies toilets covered in feces while trying not to slip in a puddle of someone else''s urine. 3 communal toilets & 2 showers are all they have for over 50 women. Facility has had no hot water on one side of the building for over 10 months. Facility is often out of blankets, towels, lotion, shampoo, tissues, Tylenol, benadryl, vitamin for weeks on end. Staff has very high turnover rate. Staff often complain of their paychecks being shorted. Some staff bring in their own used clothing, and body washer, diapers, lotion, air freshener from home in order to care for patients. Facility houses many residents with criminal histii who have served time and are very violent often with severe mental health issues. These patients are allowed to freely mingle with elderly or frail patients often times resulting in dangerous violent outbursts injuring innocent patients and staff members. Do not send someone you care about here. Drs rarely make appearances at the facility don''t know their patients names or by sight. No psychotherapy is provided and pills are randomly prescribed without anyone looking into if a patient is allergic or if pills will have a dangerous interaction with other medications patients are taking. Patients have to regularly teach nursing staff proper medical procedures and often times emt paramedics rely on patients to inform them of other patients condition when called to facility as staff is unaware it patients history or cannot communicate to the paramedics and answer their questions. Place is loud, dirty, violent, and dangerous. Staff treats patients with no respect and the administration regularly lies and covers up errors. IF YOU WANT TO KILL SOMEBODY SEND THEM HERE
