Just had my Aunt taken to the hospital for stage 3 bedsores after leaving Pomeroy. No antibiotics or pain meds were administered at this facility at anytime for treatment. Very sad to see our elderly people being treated so horribly to lay in feces and urine all day. Definitely will be contacting the state.

My Mom passed away here, earlier this month. Monday August 16, 2021. We were told when we decided to put her in Hospice, she would be allowed to have Visitors 2 at a time . So we decided it best to do so. We were lied to. We still had difficulty getting in to see her. She was only there four days....

My Mom passed away here, earlier this month. Monday August 16, 2021. We were told when we decided to put her in Hospice, she would be allowed to have Visitors 2 at a time . So we decided it best to do so. We were lied to. We still had difficulty getting in to see her. She was only there four days. Came in Thursday Eve. One person got to see her that Thursday. 2 were waiting. They were told to leave. Multiple family inquired about coming in Fri, Sat, Sunday. They were all told during those three days you have to make an appointment. It has to be with Andrew . Andrew was off during those 3 days. Mom spent her final days ALONE, AFRAID, DEHYDRATED, STARVING When I was able to get in to see her. It happened to be her last hours , Monday. I found Mom curled up in the corner, facing the wall in a fetal position. She was dehydrated , asking for water . Hungary ,afraid, wondering why she was alone and very little care. A Nurse came in while I was there . I asked "how do you lift this bed " "she needs water " The Nurse lifted her bed , so she could take a sip of water . The bed flew up swiftly. This startled my Mom. She screamed out in pain. It was hard enough watching her suffer, then hurting her. Comfort Care . I think Not. I find out she was gone over and hour , before the time of death called by the staff. . It took over an hour after she was gone to call me and another family member . We were told over phone she JUST died. The time of death on Death Certificate , showed it as being over an hour earlier. WHY THE DIFFERENCE. The next day I called to inquire about the location of her glasses , and dentures. I was told they could not be found. The ambulance nor funeral home had them . I went up to Pomeroy waited 45 minutes . They Still could not find. I called again , the night before her funeral . Miraculously her glasses were found 10 pm . I get a call the morning of the funeral " oh we found her dentures " . So the morning of Moms funeral , Friday Aug 20,2021 , I went and picked them up. It was too late to bury her with her dentures in. Very Very Disappointed. It does not matter how old a person is. They are still a person loved and missed by many. It''s Disturbing and Cold to hear , " oh she''s 88 yrs old." That fact does not make a difference. So apparently when you reach a certain age. You are discarded, neglected , for all I know mistreated.

Wow! Pomeroy Rochester Skilled has been wonderful. These folks are on top of things. They have made my stay as pleasant as it could be. Michelle is a wonderful nurse! 5 star nursing home! And the food has been great too!

They were investigated by the state on both accounts and found negligent and find multiple thousands of dollars. Avoid this place like the plague. I made two calls to the state to report this facility. They were investigated by the state on both accounts and found negligent and find multiple thousands of dollars. Bed sores Horrificly understaffed Patients left without their nurse button or button was taken away Served rotten and out dates food My mother witnessed her mute roommate tossed around and manhandled like a rag doll Patients roaming the halls and intruding in others rooms I attempted several times to contact management and corporate. Management was not interested in doing their job and corporate never responded. My mother was bed ridden unable to stand. She was left for hrs without being changed, forced on to Medicaid so that there would no obligation for their staff to do any physical therapy. This is definitely NOT the place you want your loved ones living. I wouldn''t leave my worst enemy here.i hope none of your staff end up in a facility like yours in the dangerous and situations yo IN RESPONSE to the rebuttal from Pomery, I found it perfectly rediculous that after a year of begging and pleading with your dangerous and understaffed facility upon seeing this review they didn''t wait 24 hrs to call to do damage control Anyone thinking about this place as a possibility to place a family member can contact me directly for a copy of the state reports that I have. There is no mistake. Every complaint I made was validated. I hope none of your staff ever ends up in a facility like your in the terrifying and dangerous situations she had to endure. Please also consider checking the state of Michigan website for the state ratings of these facilities.
