The Best Place to work! I started my nursing career here when I migrated here in the US. They take care of their employees like family especially during this time of pandemic making sure every employee get tested and vaccinated. Spent my 4 yrs with them and loved every minute of serving the older adults. I just had to move on for more learning experience in the hospital setting. But if turning back the time, I will always go back.

my parents lived at the Presbyterian Homes for approximately 3 Years. First of all I will start out with the positive . The home itself is a nice place with beautiful grounds. With that being said, I would suggest anyone looking into putting there Loved one here to look beyond that. Over time I have realized that this place is more of an organization that cares more about their money than the people who pay A LOT of money to stay there. There have many times over charged my parents had been overcharged and we bring it to there attention multiple of times , and just think if they did not have anyone to look over their finances (which they would have been changed 1,400.00 over) which I am sure has happened to many others. My dad was full care while my mom was 100% independent, so they lived in Assisted living, in which my mom took most of the care on herself. Presbyterian did do 1day per week house cleaning. Multiple of times we would go in to visit and noted that the kitchen and bathroom floors were very sticky. We reported this to Dana and other upper management regarding this matter, but never responded to this issue. Until the came when my mom went to turn and her show got stuck on the "sticky floor" and she fell and broke her hip. Right away when nursing staff came in to help, the first thing on of the aids stated was "WHY IS YOUR FLOOR SO STICKY" Evidently, they had gotten new floor cleaner but were NOT applying it correctly and did not take us seriously until this incident took place. This did not only cause my mom at 86 to go through extensive hip surgery, but we now had to hire help to take care of my dad. It has now been 18 months and my mother is still not strong enough to take care of my dad. They are now living separately due to this incident. It has not only caused emotional stress but financial stress. MY parents are no longer able to afford to live there, since they needed to hire independent care for my dad since my mom was no longer able to care for him since her fall. If management would of listened to our request regarding the issue with there floors we would of never had to be in this position. But that is one thing we have found out in many situations, they do not listen, they do not care like they should, these older adults are vulnerable, they rely on your help and support, which Presbyterian is DEFINITELY Lacking. I just hop no other resident has to experience this . So please look around ,read reviews, before choosing to place your loved one/ family member here

I have worked as a Nurses AIde since I was 18. Home Health AIde. Worked in ADult Day care. Before that a dietary AIde from 15 to 18. Yes i understand a pandemic is going on. Unfortunately my grandmother LAvonne rief passed at johanna shores without family presence. Probably passed alone, by herself. Which the nursing home was allowing 1 visitor PER HALF HOUR visit. Stating they are following Medicare guidelines. I asked for an email with these guidelines (never recieved). I cant seem to find this half hour rule within such guidelines. So technically any family member could visit every half hour on the hour, seems thats more risk then one staying longer then a half hour. ..CMS advises all nursing facilities nationwide to restrict visitation of all visitors and non-essential healthcare personnel, except for during certain compassionate care situations, such as an end-of-life situation. No time limit.. Ive seen great employees ive seen lazy uncompassionite ones. Witnessed anTMA burst in door. No knock. Walk over no small talk no notification of what he was doing to my GMa and simplied dump medicine in her mouth, barely cleaned face after and just leaves.. AT this point MY GMa has developed a bed sore. NEver got to see it bc at this point she was in pain from being repositioned and an unknown pain in her leg. The ladies at the front desk. ...couldnt be ruder then they were.. i understand the world situation but noone who has recieved calls 2 times previously from this place stating to come (when she was in good health) because she was dying, which she was just sleeping.. then these vultures watched the clock like they had nothing else important and would come take away from my half hour being with her and do cares. .. theres more however that would be coming from a personal level (like simple dry eye drops bc her eyes were drying out or chap stick bc she was becoming unhydrated which is natural but wheres your compassion education common sense... heart?? I dont know. This place looks like a million bucks however is a dollar short in my opinion.. RIP lavonne rief.. your grandson daniel kehborn.

They care more about the money then taking care of their residents. They have not been honest! When they overcharged my parents 1,400.00 on their bill they acted like it was no big deal. I told them I feel sorry for the elderly residents that don’t have an advocate they said everybody has someone which totally a lie. They can’t keep staff for they don’t pay them enough. They wanted to put my dad in memory care and my mom in independent living instead of putting them together in assisted living for they could make more money and when my parents ran out of money they could kick them out! They are all about Greed!!!!!!!
