my mother -in-law went her after a hospital stay. On entering the facility in the skilled nursing floor for rehabilitation it was wonderful and the care was wonderful. When the time came and she was put down on the first floor and became a permanent resident everything changed. The level of care went right down hill to a zero. My mother -in-law is 96 years old and can''t see, hear and has cancer. When she started with dementia and needed extra care everything took a huge turn. The facility did blood work to see for any infections and said everything came back fine but it wasn''t she was sent to Fatima hospital where of of the things the did was blood work and found the she has a UTI and sugar level is off. Not to say also there was a food issue that never got fixed, she was frightened by this placed. As of right now she is in Lady of Fatima lockdown unit due to all of this. Please think twice before putting a loved one in this place as it could make matters with your loved ones health matters worse.

My mom has been in this rehab facility going on three times. When looking for a short term/rehab facility after my mom''s most recent fall, I was relieved when told that the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of RI located in Coventry, RI had a bed available. They were one of the few facilities during this time of a Covid Pandemic that had zero cases with either staff or residents. They work diligently to insure that our loved ones are kept safe while still allowing access to them through outside visits and zoom calls. They hold weekly family meetings and weekly facility meetings so that we are always up to date with the most current information regarding our loved one and the facility in general. My mom has been on both the 2nd and 1st floors and I find that the nursing staff and unit managers are efficient, hands on and well knowledged about my mother''s personal circumstances. I can''t say enough about the social workers - Rissa and Nicole. They are not only watching out for the well-being of the resident but show genuine concern for the family with diligent attempts to alleviate worries and fears. I recently had a small issue regarding the television not working in my mom''s room and it happened to be on a holiday weekend. The maintenance staff was off which left my mother, who cannot walk, staring at the ceiling for the entire evening. I called and asked to speak with someone in administration and to my surprise was connected to the Administrator himself, Armani Sepe. Mr. Sepe took time to listen to everything I said and personally paid a visit to my mom''s room to take care of her needs. He is keenly aware of the needs of seniors and their families, he is empathetic, helpful, kind and considerate. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is: a )after the normal working hours when the receptionist is gone for the day it takes a very long time for the phone to be answered and even longer to be connected to a staff member to help ... having the direct number for the people you are in contact with on a regular basis is of the utmost importance. b)all CNA''s are not created equal and there are some who are not as diligent as others when it comes to servicing the needs of patients in a timely manner; and c)I will preface this by saying that my mom is a finicky eater, but she has said that the food is not good, is sometimes cold and in some cases, inedible. She knew enough to back her statement up with a comment from her roommate agreeing with her. I am hopeful that my mom will be able to return to her apartment after therapy, but if that isn''t her outcome, I will have no worries or fears about her becoming a long term resident at this facility.
