My Mom received excellent care during her stay at Baywood. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing nursing care! Thank you!

My complaint is against a worker in the Business Office at Baywood Crossing Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. She was very rude to me and my wife on the phone. She said I revoked the power of attorney for my mother and it was my mother who revoked it. After she was informed of the truth, she refused to hear otherwise, and was very unsympathetic. She refused to apologize for her harsh tone and uncaring attitude. Our conversation was very upsetting and her approach was very troubling and unprofessional. My mother was a resident there and passed away 2 days ago. Her attitude was very disturbing to us in our time of grief.

If I could give a 0 star I would. They let my grandpa decline instead of helping him get better after he broke his hip. After 2 months he was weaker and unable to physically even push himself up out of bed. My grandpa dr said at 6 weeks he should have been walking with walker but instead we now have him home trying to correct and get him back on track. They blamed the lack of pt time at their facility on his dementia but that is no excuse.

I''ve been working for Baywood Crossing for 10 years and I would not have it any other way . The residents feel like family. Staff comes and goes but I''m very glad there is some that have stayed around as long as I have.

Management at its worse. It is standard practice for the patients that are less mobile to go to the bathroom for 1 and 2 in their diapers and leave them wet for hours which creates more bedsores. There is an angel nurse I met this past Sunday that understood my 96 soon to be 97 year friend out of this place. Because she was wet for hours and had barely anything to drink and no one came to her room for hours, she got so frustrated and called 911. According to 911 they will call The nursing home back and let them know that a patient had called. Sure enough that happened but the consequences of calling 911 was grave, they confiscated her phone for hours, for the entire afternoon until night came when she asked for it back. When I spoke to management Cyndi, I was told that my friend has behavioral issues. Regardless of behavioral issues or not this is outright elderly abuse of the weak. Absolutely out if line absolutely unacceptable. My friend told me they can hear her calling even if her voice is weak but the staff just ignored her. Granted there were such a good reviews the past few months maybe they have a big turnover of staff. If they continue this practice of neglecting patient care, more patients will suffer especially the ones that are least mobile and weak and those that don’t have loved ones to watch over them. The weakest link will be left to just wither away. This is not “care” as they advertise.
