The current DON J Schugk is a vile uncaring and uneducated child. She is NOT willing to learn or support her staff due to her insecurity in her lack of skill as a nurse. The building as a whole treats their staff as if they are not human, they give no sign of any desire to improve the lives of the residents entrusted to them. They hold their staff hostage while using promises of improvement, which never happens. Parkway is currently in state review survey and the DON has lied and purgered herself in order to cover her own lack of skill, concern or knowledge. I pray the survey team assist in improving this facility and the lives of the residents whom are made to live here.

The fiasco at Parkway Health is a testimony on how not to deliver high quality healthcare. You do not build a quality organization with third string employees. An owner with widely published criminal convictions leading the organization. Parkway also hires convicted Felons in Nursing. Parkway will not allow ratings on FB because they had so many horrific testimonies concerning the poor care provided to Residents. The minutes of Utah DOPL are reviewed each month including physician, allied and ancillary healthcare providers. Thus the discovery of Lori Wright RN and Kelly D. Powell RN records at the Utah Board of Nursing. Wright while employed PRN at Parkway Health arrived at Parkway Health impaired on numerous occasions and provided nursing services to Parkway residents. DOPL reports dozens of positive UA tests and ingesting Butalbitol and alcohol without a valid prescription in 2016. Wright was not terminated until January 2017. Powell was hired as ADON. Powell forged patient charts on multiple occasions, while working as a home health nurse in Utah. Powell forged multiple patient signatures on a charting tablet. Powell falsified blood sugar levels into patient charts. Powell admitted that she frequently cut corners with patients. Powell failed to take measures to ensure patient prescriptions were refilled in a timely manner. Powell was never prosecuted because her newly married husband is a Utah State Trooper and it would greatly embarrass the force. White privilege in Utah. Bottom line: Parkway Health (as the marque indicates) is owned by a convicted felon who in turn hires convicted felons to provide healthcare in Utah. At no time are residents and resident families notified of the potential risk.

Parkway should be on the bottom of your list for LTC and nursing care in Utah County. The new building is a facade to lure potential victims. On the inside is deceit, soiled residents, missing meds, poor and cheap food and staff turn over. The Family & Staff Reviews were so bad Parkway took down the FB page and posted a new FB page with no ability to post negative reviews. All Positive current reviews are solicited by Kregg and written by current staff and family members. Notice none of them refer to a patients name only the fictional world of Parkway. The Reviews are paid by the new administrator attempting to keep a job for more than a month. Kregg has been fired from Lakeview, The Peaks, Cove Point, Sugar House, Trinity Mission, Kenton Manor. He also has a Bankruptcy and criminal convictions in his background. I wont address all of the deficiencies here but only the major points. First, Parkway is NOT a Safe facility for Residents. The staff turnover is so high no one is left that knows anything about the evacuation procedure. Secondly, meds are missed or not provided at all to residents. Complete lack of quality control and the RNs don't care. Three Administrators, three Director of Nursing, three Assistant Director of Nursing and several new cooks and activity director. There is a reason Parkway cannot keep quality staff. Its all about money. Lori Wright RN was hired by Parkway with two (2) Felony convictions in Utah County. While working at Parkway tested positive for drugs and alcohol while working a shift. Working at Parkway impaired. Do not place your loved one at Parkway.
