Resident Family Member
My mother has been a resident for 2.5 years. She has been through a lot. Loss of husband and a sudden loss if son recently. She is a hands on resident that at times needs constant care. Although as in many facilities of this kind they are short staffed. Especially when it comes to residents physical needs. When you have 10-14 residents on any specific Wing that are all in wheelchairs you need more than two CNAs to be assisting with the residents needs. It matters not to a family member what the state requires when the needs are Beyond those requirements. if a family member were able to take care of their loved ones one-on-one most would. I wish the OWNERS would take initiative to check these things out and to schedule accordingly. It's a shame the amount of money that goes to these places in the lack of employees they have to assist with the residence is shameful. The CNAs run and run and run and run and try their best. This establishment has wonderful CNAs and some of the best nurses I have seen. Just wish they would put one more on to help those CNAs.
